Day 1 of Event 24: $5,000 Omaha Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better has wrapped up. A field of 256 players came out for this one and around 185 remained at the end of the night. Leading the way was Neal Friets with 53,500 in chips.
Some of the biggest names in the game were out in action for this one, including Daniel Negreanu. Unfortunately for him, he was eliminated and will have to wait until tomorrow's slate of events to get back into action. Others joining him on the rail were Eli Elezra, Perry Friedman and Nick Schulman.
Of those advancing, we've got Phil Ivey, Michael Chow, Jason Mercier and Jen Harman. They'll all be back in action tomorrow when play resumes.
The action will kick off tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2:00 PM in the Amazon Room of the Rio. Be sure to return right back here for all the Day 2 festivities brought to you on the PokerNews pages. Until then, goodnight from Las Vegas!
Each table will be playing three more hands before calling it quits for the night.
