Online Poker Recap: Deeb, Hall Notch Wins

A big January for online poker drew closer to its conclusion with major weekly events on Monday at Full Tilt and Tuesday at PokerStars. Well-known online players triumphed in both events, with Scott "stpauli111" Hall capturing the Full Tilt $1K Monday and Shaun "shaundeeb Deeb continuing his recent surge by taking down the Stars Super Tuesday. Here's how the final tables of each played out:

PokerStars Super Tuesday

The PokerStars Super Tuesday drew 425 entrants this week, with first place awarding $81,812.50. Among the best finishers shy of the final table were Amit "AMAK316" Makhija in 10th place ($5,525), Alex "AJKHoosier1" Kamberis in 11th ($5,525), Jack "Doctor_Fun" Powell in 14th ($4,675), Mark "scrubbyz" Zajdner in 15th ($4,675), Shawn "jordankickz" Busse in 16th ($3,825), Phil "USCphildo" Collins in 23rd ($2,762.50) and Matt "plattsburgh" Vengrin in 32nd ($2,550). Eliminated from the final table first was lucksakk, at the 1,500/3,000/300 level. From middle position, lucksakk raised to 9,000 and holla@yoboy re-raised all in with the bigger stack. Ben "Waters81" Waters was sent packing later in the level. He opened to 15,000 in the cutoff and Deeb set him all in from the big blind. Joel "JMPRODIGY" Micka exited in the following level, 4,000/8,000/800. Micka raised to 20,006 from the small blind and Shaun Deeb shoved with the big stack. The Full Tilt $1K Monday attracted 368 entrants with first place awarding $92,000.
