Hedge fund manager and part-time poker player Talal Shakerchi has posted the $125,000 buy-in for the upcoming PartyPoker Premier League VI, completing a star-studded 16-player lineup that will play for a cash prize of $450,000 at Aspers Casino in London this month.

Shakerchi, 48, is a regular at the world's most expensive poker tournaments and boasts nearly $900,000 in live tournament winnings. His best result to date came last May at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Grand Final where he won the €10,000 buy-in six-max High Roller event for $294,417. He has participated in several six-figure buy-in events, as well as the $1 million Big One for One Drop at last summer's World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Shakerchi told the PartyPoker Blog that he decided to enter the Premier League because he wants to "play in the biggest games with the biggest pros." He'll certainly have his work cut out for him in this lineup:

PartyPoker Premier League VI will be streamed live on the Internet from March 17 through 23. The 16 players will be split into two groups of eight in the Main Event, each competing in four league matches to earn points in the standings ($2,000 per point). The top three players from each group of eight will automatically go through to the final table while the fourth and fifth seeds will square off in a series of heads-up matches (best of three) for spots in the eight-handed finale.

The event is part of the World Poker Tour National Series London festivities. Previous winners include David Benyamine, Andy Black, JC Tran, Juha Helppi, Andy Frankenberger, and defending champ Scott Seiver.
