RunGood Poker Series Horseshoe Council Bluffs Kicks Off Tomorrow; $100K GTD Main Event
The new season of the RunGood Poker Series – which is using the tagline "The Road to the RunGood Cup" – kicks off tomorrow at the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa (which is just across the river from Omaha, Nebraska).
The stop, which runs from August 26-30, begins with a two-day $180 DeepStack $25,000 GTD tournament followed by a $200 Bounty Tournament, with each winner being awarded a $2,000 RunGood VIP Championship Package. It'll then culminate this weekend with an affordable $675 buy-in $100,000 Guaranteed Main Event, which will see the winner take home a custom “Road to the RunGood Cup” Seiko Watch. In addition, the final nine players will also be awarded one of the aforementioned packages.
Regarding those packages, RunGood has partnered with Blaycation to coordinate thirty-six total $2,000 VIP packages for the season. Every side-event winner and Main Event final nine will be awarded a package, which includes a travel allowance, hotel stay, a RunGood Championship seat, an exclusive Road to the RunGood Cup hat and backpack, and nightly VIP events.
Last year, the RunGood Poker Series Horseshoe Council Bluffs made headlines when it crushed its $100,000 guarantee in the $675 Main Event. That tournament attracted 426 entries, created a prize pool of $251,340, and saw Henry Gingerich take home a $39,083 first-place prize plus a $10,000 seat into the 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event.
