The Garden State Super Series Returns In October With $800K in Guaranteed Prizes 0001

The summer officially comes to an end on September 23. Consequently, players around the world - including New Jersey - will likely get back behind their computers to play online poker. With this in mind, BorgataPoker.com and partypoker NJ have once again combined forces to bring to players the third edition of the Garden State Super Series (GSSS) from October 11-25.

The GSSS III features 43 action-packed tournaments with a combined $800,000 in guarantees. While this is down from the 69 tournaments with a combined $1 million in guarantees during the last GSSS in January, the average guarantee per event is way up!

As was the case in the first two editions of the GSSS, the poker series is highlighted by the Main Event, listed on the schedule as GSSS #39 - NLH Main Event [Re-Entry]. That tournament takes place on October 25 and features a healthy $150,000 guarantee for a $215 buy-in.

High-limit and low-limit poker players alike should find plenty of tournaments to meet their needs and demands. In addition to the Main Event, higher limit players can look forward to playing in the $215 GSSS #2 - NLH (Sunday $50K Format) [Re-Entry] with a $75,000 guarantee, the GSSS #20 - NLH (Sunday $50K Format) [Re-Entry] with a $100,000 guarantee, the $535 GSSS #21 - NLH Highroller with a $50,000 guarantee, the $1,060 buy-in GSSS #40 - NLH Highroller [Re-Entry] with a $75,000 guarantee, and the $535 buy-in GSSS #43 - NLH Last Chance with a $50,000 guarantee.

It is important to provide all types of players a fun poker experience in whichever event they play.

Lower limit players will be able to join in on this poker festival with many events starting at just $20 with decent guarantees. Additionally, players can qualify into any tournament with satellites and sub-satellites running around the clock starting as low as $0.25!

Most of the tournaments take place in no-limit hold'em; however, the schedule does feature a handful of events in other formats including fixed-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, pot-limit Omaha hi/lo, and seven-card stud. Additionally, the GSSS III takes advantage of many different tournament formats including full ring freezeouts, six-max, rebuys, reentries, turbos, bounties, and super bounties.

Partypoker is understandably excited by the latest installment of the GSSS. "This is our third edition of the Garden State Super Series offering New Jersey players to play a huge range of events and grab their share of the $800,000 guaranteed prize pool," said Golan Shaked, Director of Games at partypoker. "It is important to provide all types of players a fun poker experience in whichever event they play. The GSSS offers buy-ins from $20-$1,060 so is accessible to everyone."

New Jersey became the third state to regulate online poker in November 2013, just after Nevada and Delaware. Currently, licensed and regulated poker sites in the Garden State include BorgataPoker.com, partypoker NJ, WSOP NJ, and 888poker NJ.

Please note that you must be physically located in New Jersey to play on these sites; however, this doesn't mean you need to live in New Jersey to play in this series. Players from neighboring states can also take part in the action just by crossing the border into the Garden State.
