Joakim Andersson Wins the MILLIONS Online #12 6-Max High Roller Turbo ($77,485)
The MILLIONS Online #12 6-Max High Roller Turbo featured a $5,300 buy-in along with a $200,000 guarantee. The nearly five-hour event smashed its guarantee with 58 entrants generating a $290,000.
The event was described as a turbo and perhaps it was even with a reasonable 10-minute blind level structure when compared to the deep structures many of the other MILLIONS Online events have featured.
Joakim Andersson shipped the event for $77,485 after agreeing to a deal with Hungarian online poker beast Andras Nemeth and besting him for the small amount they left to play for. Nemeth also made out well thanks to the deal, collecting $74,147 for his runner-up efforts.
As one might imagine in a $5K event, the event featured some of the biggest names in poker. This can be evidenced even further when looking at the final table which also included Nick Petrangelo (third - $37,626), Sam Greenwood (fourth - $26,088), Matthias Eibinger (fifth - $19,315), Niklas Astedt (sixth - $16,182), and Daniel Dvoress (seventh - $13,927).
Also cashing in this event for a min-cash of $12,215 were two more familiar names in partypoker Ambassador Mikita Badziakouski and Elio Fox.
In related news, Matthias Jutt shipped the mini version of this event featuring a $530 buy-in and a $50,000 guarantee for $14,862.
