Bar Poker Open Joins Forces with Charity Series of Poker to Raise $45,575

Bar Poker Open and The Charity Series of Poker joined forces over the summer to raise money to fight hunger in Las Vegas.
The event — Full Houses of Food — took place in June at the Stirling Club in Las Vegas during BPO’s summer World Championships, and over 200 tour members turned out to help raise $45,375 with a tournament and silent auction.

The event's benefactor was Three Square, a local food bank that supports Las Vegas families. The food bank donated 38 million meals across America in 2022.
When all was said and done, Dennis O'Hare finished as the last player standing to win $5,000 in cash plus $1,600 in various gift certificates from sponsors.

Celebrity bounties for the tournament included 2006 WSOP Main Event champion Jamie Gold, Joey Ingram, Drew “BetonDrew” Gonzalez, Ebony Kenney, and Shane Schleger. Local comic Jay Rivera emceed the event.
About CSOP
Since 2014 the Las Vegas-based Charity Series of Poker has provided an easy way for poker players and celebrities to give back to their communities through poker.
The CSOP’s next event, Chip In For Autism, will be held at the Illuminarium in Las Vegas on November 12. The money will go to Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT), a charity that provides resources to families of autistic children in Southern Nevada.
Tickets are $300, including a seat at the event and tickets to the cocktail hour. Add-ons and rebuys are available for $100, and non-playing friends can join the cocktail hour and silent auction for $100.
