£2,000 High Roller
Day 1 Started
We're back in action today at London's Aspers Casino in Stratford for the next event in the 888Poker London Live Festival - the £2,000 + £200 High Roller tournament.
Play gets under way at 2pm, with players such as Teddy Sheringham, Arron Fletcher and Steve Watts all expected to follow on from their appearance in the Opening Event with a second attempt at bagging a trophy.
Players will start play with 60,000 chips and there is a 40-minute clock throughout. Action kicks off at 3.00pm local time here in London, so join us for cards in the air very soon!
With just a few minutes for the assembled players to get in their seats before kick-off, we thought we'd let you know who has arrived at Aspers.
888Poker professional Chris Moorman (pictured) is here, and will be looking to add another live title to his previous trophies, along with being the world's most successful online tournament poker player ever.
Jamie Roberts has decided to take part from the off, and is joined by Ben Winsor. Both men are two of Britain's finest poker talents, and will be looking to add to some other great results in London!
Also in the 888Live Poker Room are 888Poker representatives Antonio Esfandiari and Kara Scott. Can The Magician Antonio weave his magic this afternoon? Or will the legendary player and broadcaster Kara prosper?
We're still waiting for the tournament to begin, with a few fans here at Aspers having their pictures taken with the bigger names.
We can confirm, however that there will be 12 levels today, punctuated by a 20-minute break every three levels. Providing play gets under way soon, we'd estimate a finish time of around half past midnight.

We joined the action in time for a last-minute winner from Sheringham as he looked down at a board of and a bet of 5,500 chips into a 6,000 chip pot from Enzo Del Piero. Sheringham took his time, but eventually raised to 15,500, and received a fold from Del Piero. A very big early pot.

On the turn of , Moorman led out for 3,100 and was quickly called by Kyriacou. The river of prompted a bet of 6,500 from the 888Poker professional.
"I want to hear you say it. Will you say it?" Asked Kyriacou. but Moorman sat silently. That got him the call, and he turned over for the winning hand as Kyriacou mucked.

Middleton took his time, but eventually called it off, before being shown Mizrachi's !
Mizrachi is a massive chipleader in the tournament, while Middeton has already re-entered.

Team 888Poker pro Dominik Nitsche had only just sat down in the seat vacated by the ousted Tom Middleton when he was involved in a raising war pre-flop with Terry Jordon at the start of Level 2.
We joined to see Nitsche make it 4,000 to go in position, but that looked at least a four-bet. Jordon raised to 16,000 and when Nitsche said he was happy to rebuy if necessary, raising all-in, Jordon quickly called it off.

Terry Jordon:
The board of saw Nitsche drawing very dead very quickly, and he got up from the table.
"You said you didn't mind rebuying, well the desk is over there!" Jordon exclaimed, to some laughter from the table.
Mizrachi had an accurate assessment of the table position.
"You don't want to be sitting in that seat today."
Players have 260 minutes to register, which translates to the end of Level 6 by our maths!
