Allan On the Up Again

David Allan had been waiting patiently to strike all afternoon, so with a few more chips in hand, he decided to put the pressure on Ken Demlakian. Allan’s timing was off, but the result was pretty good nonetheless.

Allan opened to 32,000 from the button, before Demlakian three-bet to 76,000 from the big blind. Allan responded by moving all in for 370,000 with Demlakian making a quick call.

Allan had his tournament life on the line, but the board ran out {8-Hearts} {k-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {a-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} to see Allan spike his king to double through. Allan is now back in contention as Demlakian takes a dent to his empire.
