Fisher Going Strong

The last time we saw Slade Fisher in a poker tournament he had long dreadlocks. He doesn’t have those anymore, but he does have plenty of chips late on Day 1b of the ANZPT Auckland Main Event.
Fisher recently dealt the fatal blow to an opponent over on Table 4. It started with Fisher opening to 1,800 from under the gun. Folded around to the player in the hijack and he moved all in for 1,975. The player in the big blind made the call and so too did Fisher.
On the 
flop, the big blind player checked and Fisher bet 2,100. A fold would see the at-risk player table 
and Fisher turn over

gave Fisher’s opponent some hope, but the 
river sealed the deal for Fisher as he sent his opponent to the rail and moved his stack to around 65,000. With just over half an hour remaining in the day, Fisher is one of the chip leaders.
