Day 2 Completed
Another day at Crown Perth in Western Australia is all over as 36 players have made their way home having secured a spot on Day 3 of the ANZPT Perth Main Event.
It was a tight race for the end-of-day chip lead. For most of the day it was Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang who looked destined to finish on top. Huang had been on cruise control after a massive early hand that saw him win a 150 big blind pot after a preflop raising war.
However, at the clutch moments of Day 2 Michael Kane over took all others to end up with the largest stack. He is ahead of both Huang (189,200) and the UK’s Stephen Chidwick (201,900).
Some of the others who survived Day 2 and remain in contention for the six-figure top prize include Yaxi Zhu (152,800), Michael Guzzardi (149,400), Henry Szmelcer (143,300), Xuan Liu (143,000), Ash Warner (110,100), Anthony Legg (106,900), Stevan Chew (95,000) and reigning ANZ Player of the David Lim (93,900).
All these players will now return from 12:30pm local time tomorrow (Saturday) aiming to make it to the final table. Before that, however, the bubble will have to burst with the top 21 making the money. Be sure to return to PokerNews for another exciting day at the ANZPT Perth Main Event.
On the newest episode of the Remko Report, host Remko Rinkema is joined by Daniel Negreanu to talk about the proposed NHL team in Las Vegas, Choice Center, and more.

The staff here at Crown Perth have just taken to the mic to let players know that there may be traffic delays driving in and around the area due to a "giant puppet in the city."
Sounds scary.
It's a legit story, however.
Google it.
