Hand #161 - Matthew Konnecke

Daniel Craker had the button in Seat 1. He opened with a raise to 80,000. Matthew Konnecke re-raised to 300,000 from the small blind. Wang Jung got out of the way, and Craker sat as still as a statue for at least 30 seconds before releasing his cards.

The Buzz

The atmosphere here at SKYCITY is unbelieveable. There are hundreds of spectators on the rail watching both the Main Event final table and the High Rollers' event final table. The two tables are right next to one another in the poker room and right along the rail.

Over in the High Rollers' event, Carter Gill is heads up with Michael Wong. Shaun Gray from New Zealand came in third place, earning NZD $33,320. Gill has just recently lost the chip lead to Wong and Wong has him at 2:1.

Along with these two events going on, the Teams' event is also being played which has it's own set of spectators. The place is really buzzing and New Zealand's poker scene is definitely alive and well here at SKYCITY.

Hand #160 - Daniel Craker

Wang Jung had the button in Seat 5. He folded and Daniel Craker and Matthew Konnecke took the flop of {8-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Both checked and the turn fell the {J-Hearts}. Both checked again.

The river was the {A-Diamonds} and Craker checked. Konnecke bet 70,000 and then Craker raised to 270,000. Konnecke folded.

Hand #158 - Dan Sing Eliminated in 4th Place ($59,976)

Dan Sing - 4th Place
Dan Sing - 4th Place
Daniel Craker had the button in Seat 1. Dan Sing raised to 65,000 and the betting passed to Wang Jung, who made the call from the big blind.

Heads up, the flop brought {10-Clubs} {7-Spades} {A-Hearts}. Jung checked and Sing announced, "Eighty-five," sliding out 85,000 chips. Jung called.

Fourth street was the {J-Hearts}. Again, Jung checked, and this time Sing took a little more time to think. He removed his sunglasses and rubbed his eyes. After a minute, he made a repeat bet of 85,000. Wang Jung quickly moved all in, and Sing snap-called, tabling {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} for the nuts. His Broadway straight was ahead, but Jung had outs, tabling {J-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}.

As the spectators stood and a crowd of media gathered around the table, the dealer dealt the final card: {J-Spades}.

Simultaneously, every soul in the room groaned, "Ohhh!" as Jung comes storming from behind to make a winning full house. In doing so, he eliminates Dan Sing in 4th place. Sing will take home a check for NZD$59,976 for his efforts over the last three days.
