Sabat's Steal Doesn't Work

Charles Chua and Edward Sabat each tried to execute a steal at their table, but it was a third player that won all the chips. Chua raised the button to 400 and was called by Sabat in the small blind and by the big blind. Everyone checked the {5-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} flop. When the turn came {A-Clubs}, Sabat made it 400 to go. The big blind called but Chua folded. Both remaining players quickly checked the {A-Hearts} river, with Sabat sheepishly turning over {10-Spades} {6-Spades}. His opponent showed {10-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} for bottom pair and a winner.
