Bag the Chips - Day 1a is Done

The light turnout included a field light of well-known notables. The notables that did turn out didn't fare well. David Steicke, PokerStars Team Asia Pro Dan Schreiber, 2009 APPT Macau final tablist Daoxing "Bobo" Chen, and well-known local Wally Sombero all hit the rail.
The story of the day in the tournament room was a crew of Mongolian players that were encouraged to attend the tournament by 2009 APPT Macau runner-up Mike Kim. They provided a spark in the room with their antics and unorthodox style of poker player. One of them, Meenelai Bold, was among the chip leaders at the end of the day with roughly 110,000 chips.
But despite increasing his stack more than five-fold, Bold was not the chip leader at the end of the day. That honor went to Terry Fan, who scored an early double-up and then used his chips to continue to pummel his opponents. By the end of the day he had amassed a tournament-leading 140,000 in chips.
Tomorrow the rest of the field will join the fray. Tournament organizer are expecting upwards of 200 players for the noon start, ensuring that the day will be more frenzied than it was today. See you then!

. When the turn fell 
he checked again, prompting Jin to move all in for roughly 50,000 chips.Bold tanked for several minutes. In the middle of his tank, he started typing on his phone, drawing indignant protests from tablemate Michael Marvanek. A floor was summoned to the table to explain that such behavior was not allowed. One of the other Mongolians also came to the table and started speaking in Mongolian with Bold. This drew further protests from Marvanek.
"There's been too many warnings on this table already," Marvanek complained. "Just start giving them penalties."
Meanwhile, Jin called the clock on Bold. The floor supervisor announced thirty seconds, ten seconds and counted down from three. Bold seemed not to understand what was going on and was very surprised when the dealer killed his hand. He tried to drag his cards back out of the muck but the floor told him his hand was dead. Annoyed, he took his cards and flung them over, exposing pocket queens.
Mark Vos Anti-Sweating Van Marcus
A short-stacked Marcus got the last of his money in preflop with
out of the blinds and was up against Terry Fan with .Mark Vos who has been railing the tournament this afternoon, anxiously looking for someone to go have a drink with him, came over to watch the all in.
"Come on dealer put the ten down" said Vos.
"No don't" replied Marcus.
The dealer promptly tabled the
flop. "Yes!" said Vos, "Now just add the ten to lock it up".
The dealer turned the
to give Marcus plenty of outs. The river 
was just the card Marcus was after and he moves through to 28,000.Mark Vos disappeared in disgust, hunting for an alternative drinking partner.
Inkhbaatar Doubles Marvanek and Cops Penalty
The hand was full of preflop action with Marvanek moving over all in over the top of a raise and call.
One of the many Mongolian players in the field, Inkhbaatar made the call on Marvanek and action folded to fellow countrymen Meenelai Bold who went into the tank.
While Bold was in the tank Inkhbaatar began to speak what was believed to be Mongolian. It is unclear whether he was communicating with Bold, but it was enough for Marvanek and a fellow player to explode and call the floor.
Danny McDonagh arrived on the scene and issued Inkhbaatar with a penalty at the conclusion of the hand. Bold folded, as did the other player left in the hand and the remaining players tabled their hands.

."Finally he missed a three outter" said Marvanek as he scooped in his 34,000 chips. Inkhbaatar climbed out of his seat to begin serving his penalty leaving about 25,000 chips behind.
