Karamalikis Soars Back Into Chip Lead

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Jonathan Karamalikis opened to 35,000 from the hijack and George Moussa made the call from the small blind to see a {6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

Moussa checked and Karamalikis fired out 45,000 only to have Moussa check-raise to 100,000.

Karamalikis made the call as the {7-Hearts} landed on the turn and Moussa continued for 145,000. Karamalikis sat in the tank for a few minutes before making the call as the {j-Spades} landed on the river.

Pausing for a few moments, Moussa slid out a bet of 190,000, and following three minutes of deliberation, Karamalikis made the call.

Moussa tabled his {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a busted straight draw, but a rivered pair. However it would Karamalikis' {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} that would see him take the pot to move to 1,300,000 as Moussa slipped to 350,000 in chips.
