Hachem Collects First

The action folded round to Joe Hachem in the small blind, and he completed as the big blind checked his option.

The {J-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} board was checked through to see Hachem's {K-Spades}{6-Spades} best the big blind's {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Hachem is now slightly above his starting stack.

Neilson Late Entrant

Daniel Neilson is the latest player to register late.

Only problem is . . . Neilson is currently still in Macau, so if he was to make it to Cebu, he may not arrive till late tomorrow afternoon.

Joe Hachem has finally arrived in today's tournament.

Seated on a table that features John Maklouf, Gokhan Kursunlu and Richard En, Hachem will have a little over sixty-minutes to nurse his fresh 20,000-chip stack into Day 2.

Hachem Continues to Slide

Tony Hachem opened to 1,025 from late position and was called by the big blind to see a {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop fall.

Hachem's 1,600-chip continuation bet was check-called by his opponent before the {7-Spades} was checked through on the turn.

The river landed the {3-Spades}, and once the action was checked to him, Hachem fired out 2,100.

"Your ace is good!" stated Hachem after his opponent made the call and tabled his {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

"I had queens again. How can someone double up first hand, and then get nothing. Cooler after cooler. I don't mind copping one, but seven!" added Hachem as he slipped to 16,500 in chips.

Lin Legged

Celina Lin has become the first Team PokerStars Pro casualty of the Main Event.

Finding herself all in on a {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board holding {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, she would unfortunately run into an opponent's {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

Running aces - in the {A-Hearts} and {A-Spades} - would see Lin's day end prematurely.

Kursunlu Doubles

Facing a limp from late position, Gokhan Kursunlu moved all in for his last 2,825 with Richard En isolating to 5,000 from the small blind to force the limper to fold.

Kursunlu: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
En: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} to see Kursunlu double through to 6,100 as En slips to 67,000 in chips.

En Finds Nine

On a hand that extended into the break, we found Richard En doubling up after all the money went in on the turn with the board reading {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

En: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The river landed a safe {4-Spades} to see En double through to 70,000 in chips.
