Seoul Poker

Welcome back to Season 5 of the 2012 PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour. The fourth stop this season takes us back to Seoul, South Korea, which brings back memories of Seasons 1 and 2. In Seasons 3 and 4, the APPT did not have a stop in Seoul, but excitement is abound for the festivities this year.

The last event held here on the APPT attracted 166 players in 2008 and Yoshihiro Tasaka walked away with the title and $128,199. This year the event is capped at 250 total entrants and with two starting days, that number should be very close to being hit, if not surpassed. Tournament Director Danny McDonagh already told us that he expects a packed house of 140 players here on Day 1a.

Some of the notables expected to be in attendance for the event include Team PokerStars Pros Bryan Huang, Celina Lin and Raymond Wu. Terrence Chan and Casey Kastle are also here and planning on playing Day 1a.

The cards will be in the air at 12:15 local time, so be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews for all the live coverage from APPT Seoul.
