Here is a little status update on some prominent young Australian players. Firstly, Jesse "On The Mac" McKenzie's seat is empty and he has been seen on the rail. Not hard to deduce that he has been eliminated.
It's a different story for Matt "mjw006" Wakeman as he sits behind a healthy stack. Apparently not as healthy as it once was though, with a recent twitter update from Wakeman detailing a hand he lost to Terrence Chan.
"Just lost a decent lot vs Terrance chan. 66<JT on 689r. Limped pot, utg leads flop, i raise big, Terrance shoves. I obv snap and Q turn."
Added to the sandwiches that were delivered earlier to the tournament area, the tournament staff brought in some Whoppers from Burger King in a giant box to give out to the players. It may not be healthy, but it's food and the players are happily accepting of it.
A recent hand saw Jacky Wang open it up to 925 holding . A player to his left then three-bet to 2,525. One player behind made a call and Wang also opted to call.
The flop saw Wang check-call a bet of 3,100 from his opponent, which was enough to get the other player out of the pot. The turn saw both players check as the completed the board. This time Wang would not check, throwing out 5,500.
While his opponent decided what to do, Wang said, "I told you i wanted half of your stack, man." Eventually the player made the call and then sent his cards into the muck as Wang choed his set of fives.

While all of the other tables were empty as the players had exited the tournament area for their 10-minute break, Corbin White from the USA and Sasa Zorc from Croatia were involved in a hand.
White had opened with a raise from middle position and Zorc three-bet from the small blind to 1,650. Action moved back to White and he stuck in a four-bet to 4,250. Zorc wanted a better look at White's chips and asked if he could see his stack. White moved his hands and spread out his larger-denomination chips. After another minute or so passed, Zorc five-bet to 11,650.
Another couple of minutes passed and then White six-bet all in for right around 22,000. Zorc quickly called and tabled the . White was crushed with the and in need of a lot of help.
The flop produced the and White picked up a few more outs to a chop if two pair fell on the board. The turn added a straight draw for White to make his chances a bit better, but after the landed on the river he was eliminated from the tournament as Zorc had him covered. Zorc moved to 66,000 in chips.
