There are only 3 Japanese players left in the field and somehow they all ended up on the same table in seats 1, 2 and 3.
Akira Ohyama in seat 1 started off Day 2 with just 12,000 chips but brought that up to 70,100 by the end of the day. Yoshitaka Okawa in seat 2 next to him won the MPC Red Dragon event in January and has taken down as many pots as he's participated in over the last 2 days.
To his left is Team Online's Naoya Kihara who has been on a roller coaster during this event going up to 60k and then back to 38,800 to start Day 3.
A short-stacked Charles Wong moved all in for his last 6,700 from middle position and received a call from Team Online's Randy Lew in the cutoff. When action reached Yat Wai Cheng in the big blind, he opted for a three-bet to 21,700 and Lew quickly got out of the way.

Cheng:
Wong got it in good, but his lead evaporated when the flop delivered Cheng a pair of kings. Neither the turn nor river allowed Wong to catch back up and he was eliminated here in Level 10.
On a board of we found Naoya Kihara all in for his last 55,500 against Yoshitaka Okawa.
Okawa:
Kihara:
With Kihara in the lead with his straight against Okawa's lower straight and flush draw, it would be Kihara improving to a flush when the river landed the to see the PokerStars Team Online member climb to 132,000 in chips.
By the time we caught up with the action, there was already 30,000 or so in the pot and a board reading . Tom Middleton, who won the EPT Barcelona Main Event a couple months back, had shoved all in for his last 16,600 and Jonathan Depa was contemplating what to do. Eventually a call was made, but Depa mucked just as soon as Middleton rolled over the for a pair of jacks.
Yuanji Dai opened for 2,600 only to have Yoshitaka Okawa three-bet to 6,800 from the small blind. Team Online's Naoya Kihara then four-bet all in from the big for 34,000, Dai folded, and Okawa tank-called.
Kihara:
Okawa:
Both players held an ace, but Kihara's kicker made him a huge favorite. Okawa was looking for some help, specifically either a jack or clubs, but he'd receive none as the board ran out .
Meanwhile, Yujung Choi has been eliminated from the tournament.
After Raiden Kan opened for 2,400, Team Online's Randy "nanonoko" Lew three-bet to 5,800 from the hijack. Chip leader Kevin Schulz then four-bet to 9,800 from the cutoff, and the button and blinds all folded. Kan opted to get out of the way, and just as soon as he did Lew shoved for 30,800 total. Schulz thought long and hard before making the call.

Lew got it in good and he was rewarded with a double after the board ran out a dry .
From middle position Billy Argyros opened to 2,800 only to have Hao Tian three-bet to 6,900 next to act. With the action on Chenxiang Miao on the button, he four-bet to 10,500 before Argyros moved all in for 41,200. Both Tian and Miao made the call as the dealer dropped a flop. Tian moved all in for roughly 26,400 and Miao instantly called.

The turn and river landed the and and both Argyros and Tian were headed to the rail as Miao moves to 215,000 in chips.
Ioannis Apostolidis opened with a raise only to have Tore Lukashaugen three-bet the small blind to 10,600. Apostolidis called, and when greeted with a 7,000-chip bet on the flop, he raised it to 15,500.
Lukashaugen called before both players checked the and on the turn and river.
Apostolidis tabled his but it would be Lukashaugen's that would see him capture the pot to move to 176,000 in chips.
Yuanji Dai opened for 2,600 from early position only to have Michael Tureniec three-bet to 5,800 from middle position. Action folded back to Dai, he called, and the flop came down . Dai was first to act and checked, which inspired Tureniec to bet 4,400. Dai then sprung to life with a check-raise to 10,400, and Tureniec moved all in for 20,500 total. Dai called and discovered he was in dire straits.
Tureniec:
Dai:
The turn was of no consequence, and all Tureniec needed to do was dodge a seven on the river to stay alive. "Seven," Dai requested, and right on cue the dealer burned and put out the .
"Wow," another player at the table said. Tureniec's face dropped a bit, but he remained silent. He slowly took off his sunglasses, packed them up, and then took his leave as the first elimination of Day 3.
