O'Rourke Runs into a Full House

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Liam O’Rourke opened to 525 from middle position and was called by the player on the big blind.

The flop came down {j-Clubs}{q-Spades}{a-Hearts} before both players checked their options. The {k-Hearts} fell on the turn, prompting the big blind to bet out 1,200. O’Rourke made the call as the {k-Spades} completed the board.

Without hesitating, O’Rourke’s opponent confidently bet out 3,500 which was called moments later. He then tabled his {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for a full house, as O’Rourke’s cards flew into the muck.

Gill is "so nitty"

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

On the turn of a {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board, one player checked over to Oliver Gill. There was already around 4,000 in the pot at this point and it was just Gill and this lone opponent. Gill bet 2,500 here and the player took his time before making the call.

The river brought about a {k-Clubs} and it was once again checked over to Gill.

"I'm so nitty for not value betting this when you almost always have a straight," said Gill as he sighed and checked.

"Jack-high flush," Gill added as he turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The player flipped over his {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for the wheel and the pot went to Gill.

Allan Gives It Up

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Dave Allan opened to 500 from under the gun plus one and was called by the player in middle position and the player on the button.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Allan threw out a continuation bet of 800. Only the button made the call as both saw the {6-Spades} fall on the turn. Allan kept up his aggression, betting out another 1000 which was called.

The {9-Clubs} completed the board and both players opted to check. Allan’s opponent then turned over his {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for top pair, which was enough to take down the pot.

Chevalier Crushing Early

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Former ANZ Player of the Year Danny Chevalier just raked in a very large pot to see his stack rise to around 50,000. The hand started with the player in the hijack opening to 450. Chevalier was the lone caller from the big blind and at this point the dealer flipped over a {4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop.

Chevalier check-called a bet of 675 and then tapped the table again when a {k-Diamonds} hit the turn. This time when the player bet 1,100, Chevalier would check-raise to 2,600. An eventual call would see a {5-Spades} complete the board on the river. Chevalier slowly led for 5,650 here, forcing his opponent deep into the tank.

The player studied the board, studied Chevalier, counted his chips and studied the board some more. Eventually he called and then mucked when Chevalier tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a turned straight.

Cabret Applies the Pressure

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The hand started with the player in middle position limping into the pot. The action folded around to Joe Cabret on the button who raised it up to 650. The small blind quickly made the call before Ryan Hong bumped it up to 2,000 from the big blind. The original player got out of the way, before Cabret instantly four-bet to 4,650 which was just called by Hong.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} as Hong checked his option. Cabret then reached for his stack and threw out an identical bet of 4,650. Hong didn’t look too pleased, eventually mucking his hand.

Levy Wins a Small One

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

We just watched Grant Levy rake in a handy little pot. It was on the river of a {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board when we arrived at the table and it was Levy versus one opponent. There was around 5,000 in the pot and Levy had bet 2,000 when his opponent checked. The player made the call and then mucked his cards when Levy tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.
