Lam Flushes Opponent

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

The action started with Ian Lam raising to 250 from the hijack. The player in the cut off then bumped it up to 650 and was called by both players in the blinds. With the decision back on Lam, he made the call, before all four players watched the flop come down {q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

The player in the small blind quickly threw out 250 forcing a fold from the player on the big blind. Lam thought for a minute before making the call but was met with a raise to 1,800 from the player in the cut off. The small blind quickly called and Lam followed suit.

After the {j-Clubs} landed on the turn, the small blind once again bet out 250. Lam went into the tank for several minutes as he deliberated over his call.

“Tell him 250, not 25,000,” added the player in the big blind, who was getting slightly frustrated at the length the hand was taking.

Time was called but Lam made the call before the tournament staff arrived which forced a fold from the player in the cut off after he let out a disappointed groan.

Both players then snap checked as the {9-Hearts} completed the board. The player in the small blind tabled his {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a pair but it was not enough as Lam rolled over his 8c}{10-Clubs} for a flush and the winning hand.

Lam now moves up to 37,000 following the hand.
