John Juanda & Vanessa Rousso
John Juanda & Vanessa Rousso
John Juanda made it 1,000 to go from under-the-gun and Vanessa Rousso was the lone caller from the big.

The flop came {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and both players checked. The {9-Clubs} was the next card off the deck and Rousso bet into Juanda, making it 1,900 to go. Juanda then kicked it up to 4,800 and Rousso moved all in over the top of Juanda's raise for a total of 11,000.

Juanda made the call and turned over a pocket pair of twos for bottom set; Rousso showed the {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and was drawing dead.

Marcus Doubles Through Greenstein

Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein
Moments ago, Van Marcus managed to double up through Barry Greenstein in a four-way pot that saw plenty of action.

The first three three cards off the deck came {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Marcus (SB) and Greenstein (BB) both checked. A player who'd entered the pot from under the gun then led out with a 1,200 bet. A fourth player made the call from the cutoff and when the action got back around to Marcus, he moved all in over the top of the bet for a total of 9,700.

Greenstein made the call from the big blind and the other two players in the hand got out of the way. At the showdown, Greenstein revealed the mortal nuts( {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} ) while Marcus flipped over {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, good for top pair and a flush draw. The hand was settled on the turn after the dealer burned and turned the {9-Diamonds}, completing Marcus' flush.

With the win, Marcus improved to 24,000 in chips while Greenstein dropped to 14,400.

Tough Luck

When you pay $15,000 to buy into a poker tournament, the last thing you want to be able to do is identify all of the other players at your table. Enter Christopher Piche of Canada; here's what his table looks like:

Seat 1.) Nick Schulman
Seat 2.) Jeff Lisandro
Seat 3.) Scotty Nguyen
Seat 4.) Liz Lieu
Seat 5.) Guillaume Patry (reach the final table of the APPT Macau Main Event)
Seat 6.) Piche
Seat 7.) Vanessa Rousso
Seat 8.) John Juanda

The only good news for Piche is that his table is scheduled to be broken next.
