Potter Doubles Up

We picked this hand up on a flop of {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

USA player William Wright Jr. led out for 1,000 and was raised by Australian player James Potter to 2,500. Wright made the call.

Turn: {3-Spades}

Wright checked and Potter moved all in for 3,300 and was called quickly. Potter opened his {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and was in bad shape against Wright's {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

The {J-Diamonds} on the river brought a smile to Potter's face as he doubled up to 13,200.

Monster Action Preflop!

UTG Tony Hachem raises to 300 and is called on his immediate left by French player Guilhe De Villers Thibaut. Andreas Bardun calls and Emad Tahtouh raises to 1,700 from the button.

John King calls from the small blind and Hachem reraises to 3,500. De Villers moves all in over the top for another 5,000. Bardun folds and Emad exclaims, "This is sick!" as he reluctantly mucks. King in the small blind goes into the tank and folds, showing Tahtouh that he had {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

Hachem now goes into the tank and open-folds his {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Now that the action is complete, Tahtouh states that he folded {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and happy with his win. De Villers shows his {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} as he chips up the pot.

Berec limped from early position and German player Peter Buermann raised to 300 from the cutoff.

The flop came {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Berec checked and Buermann bet 700. Berec raised to 1600 and Buermann made the call.

Turn: {2-Hearts}

Berec led out for 2500 and Buermann called.

River: {7-Hearts}

Berec again bet 2500 and Buermann went into the tank. He eventually made the call and Berec showed {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} which was no match for Buermann's {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.
