Getting Aggressive

Two Kostritsyn's ain't working yet
Alexander Kostritsyn and Stefan Jedlicka are getting a little more aggressive in their round two match with four-bets being seen preflop and on the flop.

With things relatively even, Kostritsyn just took a huge advantage after calling a 600 raise preflop and then check-raising to 1,700 on a flop of {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Jedlicka made the call and when the {10-Hearts} fell on the turn, he folded when put to a decision for his tournament life.

With Kostritsyn being one game down, he is looking to lock this one up so that they can reach a decider.

Match Update

Alec Torelli is currently one-nil up on Michael Wywrot, while Alexander Kostritsyn and Stefan Jedlicka haven't notched up a win yet.

Torelli is looking at a three-to-one chip disadvantage in his second match, while Jedlicka holds a two-to-one advantage on Kostritsyn.

Saab Eliminated

The 2007 Aussie Millions Heads Up Poker Champion has just been eliminated at the hands of Graeme 'KiwiG' Putt.

With blinds at 150-300, Putt raised to 600 on the button and Saab made the call. Saab then check-raised all in over Putt's 1,000-chip bet on a flop of {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} with Putt making the call.

Putt: {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Saab: {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

With Saab needing to catch a nine or running jacks to stay alive, the {6-Clubs} on the turn cut more than half his outs, and with the {4-Clubs} landing on the river Saab hit the rail while Putt advanced to round four and into the money.

Everyone Deadlocked

Everyone is dead-locked at the moment, with Graeme Putt holding the lead against David Saab and Stefan Jedlicka just taking the advantage against Alexander Kostritsyn.

Recently, Jedlicka opened to 700 on the button and Kostritsyn made the call. On a flop of {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Spades}, Kostritsyn checked and Jedlicki fired out 800 before being check-raised to 3,000 total. Jedlicka then moved the last of his 5,400 stack into the pot and Kostritsyn made the call.

Kostritsyn: {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Jedlicka: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The turn fell the {9-Diamonds} and river the {2-Diamonds}, doubling Jedlicka up and sending the game in his favor.
