Quads For Kassis

We saw the flop of {2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} in a limped pot between Clark Hamagami and Mark Kassis. Hamagami led out for 11,000 and Kassis made the call.

Both players checked the turn of the {8-Hearts} and when the {4-Hearts} landed on the turn Hamagami led out for 29,000. Kassis pondered for some time, asked how much it was before raising to 60,000 total. Hamagami made the call and mucked just as quick as the crowd could cheer when they saw Kassis' {8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for quads.

After the hand Kassis moved to over 270,000 in chips as Hamagami dropped to below 300,000.

Clark Hamagami raised it up to 20,000 from the button and when the action was on Jonathan Karamalikis he moved all in for 136,500. Hamagami made the call and the cards were tabled.

Hamagami: {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Karamalikis: {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}

With Karamalikis' rail cheering and chanting strongly, it would only grow louder when the flop came down {J-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. When the {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn Karamalikis couldn't lose and started counting out his chips for the double up.

The {2-Spades} locked the double as it propelled Karamalikis to 290,000 as Hamagami slipped back to 330,000 in chips.

Kassis Punishes Limp

Jonathan Karamalikis limped in from the button, and with Clark Hamagami out of the way, Mark Kassis checked his option.

Kassis check-called a 10,000-chip bet on the flop of {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Both players checked when the {Q-Spades} landed and also when the {7-Hearts} fell on the river.

Kassis tabled {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} to take the pot down and move up to 245,000 chips.

Break Time

The final three players are on their second break for the final table as they head on a 10-minute hiatus before returning to continue proceedings.

It's Really Hammer Time!

On the button and never afraid to raise, Clark Hamagami opted for the standard 15,000 raise. Jonathan Karamalikis made the call from the big blind and then checked the flop of {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Hamagami continued his final table aggression with an 18,000 bet and not a moment too soon Karamalikis responded with a two-handed raise of 40,000.

Hamagami sat up in his chair and stared at the board before looking back up at Karamalikis and announcing "All in". Karamalikis rolled his eyes and released his hand as he slumped down to 153,000 as Hamagami soared up to 490,000 in chips.

Ace High Is Good

Clark Hamagami raised out of the small blind to 17,000 and Mark Kassis made the call. It was checked all the way to the river on a board of {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts} where Hamagami made a bet of 9,000.

Kassis made the call and was met with, "Do you have a pair?" asked Hamagami, Kassis responded with "Do you have a pair?", and tabled {A-Spades}{3-Hearts} but wasn't to take the pot as Hamagami tabled {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

Jonathan Karamalikis opened to 15,000 from the button and Clark Hamagami made the call. Both players checked the turn where Hamagami led for 24,500 with the board reading {2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Karamalikis called the bet and when faced with 46,500 to call on the river of the {J-Clubs} he sat in the tank for over a minute before calling. Hamagami tabled {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and Karamalikis showed the {A-Spades} and mucked.

With that pot Hamagami jumped back to the chip lead sitting on 370,000 as Karamalikis slipped to 280,000.

Kassis Hits Three-Outer

Mark Kassis opened with a raise to 18,000 on the button and when the action was placed on Clark Hamagami in the big blind he moved all in. Kassis sat in the tank for over two minutes before making the call and seeing that he was in bad shape up against Hamagami {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} with his {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

With Kassis' railbirds chanting for a ten, their wish would be granted when the flop fell {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Needing to avoid a jack to stay alive in the tournament Kassis would be relieved to see the {9-Diamonds} and {4-Hearts} land on the turn and river doubling Kassis up to 225,000 as Hamagami slipped to 270,000 in chips.
