The Other Woods is 1-Up

Darren Woods: 1 vs. Andrew Seidman: 0

The money was all in the middle preflop and we got there as the cards were tabled:

Seidman: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Woods: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Woods took the lead on the flop of {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} and stayed there as the turn and river ran out {j-Spades}, {10-Clubs}.

It's going to be tough work for the DeucesCracked crew as both the Woodses now have a 1-0 advantage in their respective matches.

McMurphy in Straight Sets

Kyle McMurphy: 2 def. Brian Roberts: 0

Roberts moved the last of his money into the middle holding {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} preflop, but McMurphy woke up with {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

The board was spread {2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}; both players paired but Roberts was no good - he's going home in eighth place and McMurphy will meet either Andrew Seidman or Darren Woods in the semi-final!

Selbst Can't Break Back Yet

Barry Woods: 1 vs. Vanessa Selbst: 0

Despite taking an early chip lead in their second match, Selbst has had all the hard work undone and it's back to all square with her battle against Woods.

On a board of {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Woods moved all of it into the middle and Selbst snap-called, tabling {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for trip kings.

However Woods rolled up {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped full house! Crippled down to around 4,000 in chips, Selbst moved all in a short time later on a flop of {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs} with {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

To her relief, she had managed to strike it lucky against Woods' {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and she doubled up after the turn and river ran out {3-Hearts}, {4-Diamonds}.

Ouch!

Barry Woods: 2 def. Vanessa Selbst: 0

The money was all in on a flop that read {2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and we got to the feature table as the cards were tabled:

Woods: {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Selbst: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Selbst was in great shape to double up but looked worried then the {k-Diamonds} spiked on the turn, giving Woods some hope to bust her out on the river with the case king, any eight or any ...

... yep, you guessed it, any two. Which came down on the river in the form of the {2-Clubs}, thus eliminating Selbst in seventh place.

"Okay, I'm going to go and shoot myself now," joked Selbst after shaking hands with Woods, who will now have to wait for the winner of the rubber between Andrew Lichtenberger and Martin Gudvangen.

All Tied Up

Andrew Lichtenberger: 1 vs. Martin Gudvangen: 1

Gudvangen has managed to peg one back and make it one-all after Lichtenberger moved the last of his money into the middle with {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, only to see Gudvangen snap-call with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and they've now started their final game.

Seidman Makes it Even

Darren Woods: 1 vs. Andrew Seidman: 1

Woods moved his last 2,000 in chips into the middle from the button preflop with {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, only to be called down by Seidman who tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

Seidman made it one-all after the dealer spread the board of {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, much to the delight of Chuck Danielsson and the other DeucesCracked members in the bleachers.

Seidman and Woods have taken a quick break before playing out their decider.

Grinding Away

Darren Woods: 1 vs. Andrew Seidman: 1

Woods raised to 250 from the button and Seidman called before the flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

Seidman check-called Woods' bet of 350 before both players checked the turn of the {q-Clubs}.

Seidman then led out for 700 on the river of the {7-Spades}, but the chips hadn't even left his hand before Woods quickly mucked his cards.

That pretty much sums up how slowly it's going up here Studio 3.

Much Ado About Nothing

Andrew Lichtenberger: 1 vs. Martin Gudvangen: 1

It's also the same slow story in the third game between Lichtenberger and Gudvangen.

Lichtenberger limped in preflop and Gudvangen checked preflop, then both players checked all the way down the board of {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Gudvangen flashed his cards but mucked when Lichtenberger showed {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Gudvangen Advances!

Andrew Lichtenberger: 1 lt. Martin Gudvangen: 2

Lichtenberger moved the last of his money into the middle with {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, only to be called by Gudvangen who showed {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

The board was spread {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, sending Lichtenberger out in sixth place.

Our first semi-final has been confirmed - it's Martin Gudvangen vs. Barry Woods!
