Mike 'SirWatts' Watson Eliminated In 3rd Place ($35,000 AUD)

Mike 'SirWatts' Watson has been eliminated by Mick Guttmann in third place.

The money went in on a {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop. Guttmann had {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} for top two pair with flush and open ended straight re-draws. Watts had {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for top two pair.

The {Q-Spades} hit the turn to complete Guttmann's hand and the river was the {k-Spades}.

Watts earns $35,000 AUD for his efforts. Guttmann and Seidel will go heads for the title and the ring.

Florian Langmann Eliminated In 4th Place ($25,000 AUD)

Florian Langmann opened in the cutoff to 7,500. Erik Seidel called, and so did Guttman. The flop was {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Guttman checked to Langmann who bet 16,000. Seidel made it 66,000, Guttman got out of the way, and Langmann moved all in. Seidel quickly called and the hands were revealed.

Langmann: {q-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}
Seidel: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Langmann said "I was afraid you had that hand," before the dealer spread out the {4-Spades} turn, and the {5-Clubs} river the eliminating Langmann from the tournament, and giving Seidel about 340,000.

Tight Play Early On

The play is extremely tight at the final table right now. On one hand, in a raised preflop pot, the players checked down a {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board.

The hands? Seidel, Langmann and Guttman all had big pocket pairs. Obviously big pairs are not huge in Omaha, but the players were surprised the money didn't go in preflop.
