Levy Leveled

Team PokerStars Pro Grant Levy has just been eliminated from the tournament by Christopher Brammer.

Holding {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Levy got it all in on a {9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} flop. Brammer looked him up holding {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and the turn and river ran out an inconsequential {8-Spades}, {10-Spades}, cementing the pot for Brammer.

Brent Thomas Hits the Rail

Brent Thomas in the cut off made it 3,000 to go and Con Angelakis in the button made the call. The flop came down {j-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Thomas bet 11,500 and Angelakis made the call again. The turn brought the {j-Hearts}. Thomas checked the turn and Angelakis bet 16,500. Thomas potted all-in and Angelakis called. When the cards were turned over, Thomas was ahead with trip jacks but when the {Q-Clubs} fell on the river, Thomas yelled out a "yahoo!" when he made the flush but his hopes were wrecked when Angelakis showed his straight flush and sent Thomas packing.

In a battle of the blinds, Oliver Gill in the small blind completed the bet and the big blind checked his option. The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Gill bet the pot and the big blind called. They both check the turn, {9-Clubs}. On the river, {q-Spades}, Gill bet 3,800, the big blind called and when he saw Gill's {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a straight the big blind mucked.

Benson Busto

Gary Benson has just been eliminated from the tournament by Paul Taylor in what was a battle of the blinds.

Action folded around to Benson in the small blind who raised the pot. Taylor then repotted from the big blind and Benson called, opting to see the flop: {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Benson moved all in on the flop and Taylor called:

Benson: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{6-Spades}
Taylor: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

The turn and river then filled out {3-Diamonds}, {5-Hearts} and Taylor's aces held up to send Benson to the rail.

Judo Chop

Mel Judah opened with a raise to 3,200 from under-the-gun and was called by a player on the button and also by Oliver Gill in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Gill checked to Judah who bet the pot. The button folded and when the action returned to Gill he raised the pot, putting Judah all in. Judah made the call and the cards hit their backs:

Judah: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Gill: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The turn and river then filled out {9-Diamonds}, {J-Clubs} and Gill's trips held up to take down the pot, chipping him up to 84,000 in chips.

Annette Obrestad got to work in a hurry following the dinner break, doubling up in the opening couple of minutes as play resumed.

Unfortunately we missed the betting action, but we can tell you that she doubled holding {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} on a {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board against Con Angelakis.

After the hand, Obrestad stacked up 36,500 in chips while chip leader Angelakis dropped to 92,000.
