After earlier being advised that we would be playing through to the final table, we've just been told that we will only play to the shooutout night.

The shooutout starts at 32 players. That means we will be done rather soon.

Vogt Eliminated

Rasmus Vogt has fell just short of the shootout stage heading out in 34th position.

Vogt had got extremely short in chips hoping to hold out for a pay jump. It didn't happen Tristan Bain made the call with {6-Diamonds}

, which looked to match up well for Vogt's {10-Clubs}

That was until Bain caught a runner-runner straight on the {k-Diamonds}

board.

Bain moves up to 80,000.

Peter Saward Still Trucking

Peter Saward has kept his hopes of playing in the shootout phase alive after doubling through Stefan Huber.

Huber opened to 8,000 and Saward moved in for 17,000. Huber made the call tabling {k-Spades}

to sit marginally in front of the {j-Hearts}

of the all in player.

Saward looked set to go out through the {a-Clubs}

flop and

turn, only to be bailed out by the {Q-Clubs}

river.

He has 37,000, Huber has 114,000.

Maryanne Farrugia Falls On Shootout Bubble

The money was all in the middle preflop and we caught the action just as the cards were tabled between Aidan Kelly and Maryanne Farrugia:

Farrugia: {8-Spades}

Kelly:

The flop of {k-Hearts}

improved neither hand, but Kelly caught the {q-Clubs}

on the turn to take the lead! Needing any eight, the river {6-Diamonds}

fell on the river, eliminating the last remaining female in the tournament.

And that means that's stumps! Time to wrap this puppy up.

It's been another action-packed day here at the Crown Casino in Melbourne and after a 13-hour slog, 381 players have been reduced to just 32.

Though numbers were down from last year, it didn't take away from the spirit of the competition, dominated by a local field providing plenty of entertainment and for a lucky few, they may have hit the rail with little or no loss by taking out a bounty or two!
