Eric Assadourian doesn't seem to be confident about his chances in today's tournament and has already tried to strike up a deal with the rest of his table.
He's requesting that he receive a $200 rebate if anyone knocks him out, as he's been designated a bounty today. No word yet on if an agreement has been reached.
It's interesting to observe how the "Bounty" tag affects play here this afternoon, both for those wearing the tag and those chasing the bounty.
Barny Boatman is happily bopping away to the music in his iPod and flashing his bounty tag at anyone who looks in his direction. While Jay Rosenkrantz commented to us that a few guys on his table are already eyeballing his bounty tag.
"Wouldn't it be fun if the bounty went up in value, the longer the tournament went on?" posed Rosenkrantz, perhaps looking to ensure his survival a little longer here this afternoon.
One of the bounties in today's event is Australian Poker Hall of Fame member Mel Judah. His table is not too pleased though, as Judah as almost doubled up to ensure that bounty is out of reach for the moment.
The chips went in on the turn on a board of with Judah tabling for the wheel to be in control against his opponent's for two pair. The river was the and Judah is up to 17,000 chips.
A couple of other bounties in the field that we haven't yet mentioned include Sam Korman, Aaron Wilt, Neil Channing, Dan Shak, Sorel Mizzi, Dani Stern, Jarred Graham, Matthew Pearson and winner of Event#2 Andrew Hinrichsen.
Sam Khouiss is up to his old tricks, after losing a recent hand.
Catching the action on the turn on a board of Khouiss fired out 800 and found a caller, before the action was checked on the river.
Khouiss' opponent flipped over pocket kings which was good as Khouiss angrily mucked his cards and started a tirade of swearing and complaining towards his opponent.
Another player on the table responded, "It's poker, stop complaining, it's not his fault..."
Khouiss retorted, "It is his fault, f#%king idiot. I'm sick of these bad beats I'm copping!"
Interestingly another player at the table had already received a warning for swearing, so it will be interesting to see if there is any further table talk!
Martin Comer, Andrew Hinrichsen, an opponent in the small blind and John Course (in the big blind) were involved in a three-way pot way out in the satellite area with the flop reading .
The small blind checked to Course to led out for 400. Comer called from the cutoff but Hinrichsen raised to 1,400 from the button.
The small blind folded before Course and Comer called, then all three players checked the turn of the and the river .
The dealer asked Hinrichsen to reveal his cards but he mucked them straight way. Course showed for two pair and Comer let his hand go.
Course is up to 17,000, Comer is down to 14,300 and Hinrichsen shrinks to 6,200.
