Three-bets Getting Bigger

Peter Jetten opened with a raise to 150,000 from the cutoff and next to act, Sorel Mizzi kicked it up to 455,000, prompting Jetten to lay down his hand.

With the blinds now at 30,000/60,000, we expect the action to pick up a bit, as every blind steal is now worth 115,000 in chips.

Jetten Back to Life

Peter Jetten is moving on up the leaderboard after winning a big pot with no showdown.

Sorel Mizzi opened with a raise to 140,000 from under-the-gun and received calls from both Frederik Jensen on the button and Jetten in the big blind.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the action was checked to Mizzi who fired a 265,000 continuation bet. Jensen folded but when the decision returned to Jetten, he moved all in for 1,375,000. Mizzi mini-tanked and released his hand, surrendering the pot to Jetten.

After the hand, we counted Jetten at 2.1 million in chips.

Frederik Jensen raised preflop and Sorel Mizzi called. The flop came down {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn was the {2-Spades} and Mizzi fired 160,000. Jensen called. The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs} and Mizzi fired 395,000. Jensen tanked and then mucked his hand, giving Mizzi the pot to increase his chip lead.

Kosta Varoxis limped in preflop from under the gun, a rare limp this late in the tournament. Peter Jetten raised to 200,000 and Tyron Krost called from the small blind. Voraxis called as well.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Krost checked. Varoxis also checked and then Jetten checked as well.

The turn card was the {7-Clubs} and the first two players checked to Jetten. He wasn't going to check this time and fired in a bet of 350,000. His two opponents folded and Jetten scooped the pot.

Mizzi Nearing Five Million

Sorel Mizzi raised from first position to 140,000. Frederik Jensen was on the button and made the call. Peter Jetten called out of the big blind as well.

The flop was checked around after the {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} came down. The turn was the {7-Spades} and Jetten checked. Mizzi fired 265,000 and everyone folded. Mizzi's now just under five million in chips.
