Let's Go

For the most part, the Day 2 players have taken their seats and the cards are in the air. There are a few stragglers, still looking for their tables, but the cards wait for no one. We're off!

Lights, Camera, Action!

Up here in studio 3, we have a room full of poker superstars. The feature table is starring Dan Harrington, Gus Hansen, Dan Shak and Van Marcus among others.

On the side tables we've got Annette Obrestad, Erick Lindgren, John Juanda, Leo Margets, David Steicke, Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Joe Hachem.

Oh, and Tony G is once again riding around the studio on his bike. Stay tuned.

Juanda Doubles

John Juanda moved all in preflop for about 11,000 and was only called by one opponent.

Juanda: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Opponent:{a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board was good to Juanda coming down {5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Juanda stacked up 24,000 in chips.

Gill Gets One Early

Oliver Gill and an unknown opponent got all the chips in the middle preflop. Gill had his opponent covered and turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} against {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Gill scooped in the pot while his opponent made an early exit.

Neilson Ratings Up 15%

Daniel Neilson has just increased his stack to 70,000 in chips with the early elimination of Jason Giuliano.

Neilson opened the pot with a raise to 2,300 from under-the-gun and the player to his left called. Action then folded around to Giuliano who moved all in for about 22,000. Neilson, holding {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, made the call and the third party in the hand folded. Giuliano came to the showdown with {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

A {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop gave Neilson quite the sweat, as it gave Giuliano top pair with a flush draw. Despite the good flop, the turn and river bricked {7-Clubs}, {4-Hearts} and Neilson's kings held up to win the pot, sending Giuliano to the rail.

The G Takes a Hit

We caught up with the action on the turn and the board reading {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Christos Kazonis moved all in for about 25,000 and was called by Tony G. The G had pocket queens and Kazonis pocket kings. The river was {4-Hearts} and Kasonis doubles to over 50,000.

Tony G is now on about 50,000 as well.

Sorel Takes One Out

Sorel Mizzi has just eliminated Elija Martinovic from the field.

Mizzi was holding jacks against Martinovic's {k-?}{q-?}.

Mizzi flopped a jack for a set on a {q-?}{j-?}(X) board and the turn and river bricked for Martinovic and his Main Event ended early.
