Nikolay Evdakov had the button, and Sam Trickett and Phil Ivey were in the blinds. David Benyamine, in the cut-off bumped it up 48,000. Nikolay Evdakov slowly put his sunglasses on and then announced than he was all in. Action folded back around to Benyamine, who quickly released his hand.
Russia 1, France 0.
Meanwhile, Lynn Gilmartin took a walk around the studio during the break to catch up with some of the players at (and not at) the final table:
Phil Ivey was on the button, and Erik Seidel and Andrew Feldman were in the blinds. Chris Ferguson, after glancing down at his hand put his glasses on, but ended up folding anyway. Wang Qiang then slid his whole stack into the center of the table, and everyone folded giving him the blinds antes.
It was folded around to Wang Qiang who made the call. The action then folded to Erik Seidel on the button who raised it up to 85,000. The blinds released as did Qiang and we were off to the next hand.
Andrew Feldman had the button, and Richard Yong and Chris Ferguson were in the blinds. Our chip leader Sam Trickett, made it 55,000 to go and the table relented allowing Trickett to scoop more chips.
Chris Ferguson had the button, and Wang QIang and David Benyamine were in the blinds. Sam Trickett bumped it to 55,000 from UTG, and the table once again went foldarama. More blinds and antes sent Trickett's way.
Phil Ivey moved all in from under-the-gun. It looked like everyone was going to fold around again, much like they had before, but Sam Trickett in the big blind had another idea. He made the call and the cards were on their backs.
Ivey:
Trickett:
The flop came down giving Trickett a gutshot straight draw and giving Ivey a sweat. The turn brought the and sealing the deal. The river was the meaningless and Ivey was our eighth player eliminated.
