Bloom Moves Up

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Max Bloom raised to 2,200 from the hijack seat and Jeff Sarwer called from the button. Lee Nelson called from the big blind and the three players saw the flop come down {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Nelson checked and Bloom fired 3,500. Sarwer called, but Nelson folded.

The turn card was the {9-Diamonds} and Bloom bet 7,500. Sarwer gave it up and Bloom moved to 35,000 in chips.

Grant Levy
Grant Levy

Gary Benson entered the pot with a raise to 1,800 only to have Evan Panesis three-bet next to act to 4,200.

With the action on Grant Levy in the cutoff, he bumped it to 11,200 to force the blinds and Benson to fold.

Panesis went deep into thought for nearly three minutes before eventually releasing his hand as Levy collected the pot to move to 36,000 in chips.

Kovacs Krushing

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Catching the action with the board spread {9-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, we found Andras Kovacs' {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} up against the big blind's {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Being told the money went all in on the flop, Kovacs turned a flush to send another player to the rail as he soars to the outright chip lead with over 188,000 in chips.

Capra Doubles

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Andras Kovacs opened to 2,000 from under the gun with Sam Capra defending his big blind to see a {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop.

Capra checked and Kovacs fired out a bet only to have Capra move all in for roughly 21,000. Kovacs called to put the 2009 final tablist at risk.

Capra: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Kovacs: {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

With Capra needing to fade diamonds or running kings or cards to fill a straight, the turn and river landed running jacks to see Capra double through to 45,000 in chips.
