Full Tilt Poker $25,000 Shootout Invitational

Day 3 Completed

That's A Wrap

Level 9 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

After just over three hours of play, the third and final heat of the Full Tilt Poker $25,000 Shootout Invitational is complete. Eli Elezra, and Howard Lederer will join James Bord, David Oppenheim, Barny Boatman and Patrik Antonius at the final table, which will get under way in just over an hour.

Andy Bloch was first to go, followed by Tom Dwan, Van Marcus, John Juanda, Erik Cajelais and finally Peter Jetten.

Elezra and Lederer will take their chip stacks into the final table, and Lederer, with about 153,000 is positioned just behind the chip leader David Oppenheim who is sitting around 155,000. Elezra on the other hand is sitting fifth with 46,300, a few thousand over the short stack Barny Boatman.

Catch us back here in at 7 p.m. local time here in Australia to follow all the action.

Peter Jetten Eliminated!

Level 9 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Howard Lederer raised to 12,000 from the button, and Peter Jetten moved all-in. Howard Lederer flipped up {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, and Jetten {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

The board was no help to Jetten, rolling out {7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, and he has been eliminated.

Howard Lederer, and Eli Elezra will join the rest of the final table later this evening where they'll play for a first prize of $250,000.

Jetten Gets A Fold

Level 9 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Peter Jetten moved all in for about 16200 from the button, and Eli Elezra asked how much it was before he even looked at his hand, something he said "he hates when the kids do." Elezra squeezed his hand ever so slowly before folding, and exposing the {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

Lederer Calls It Correct

Level 9 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Peter Jetten moved all in and Howard Lederer made the call. Lederer flipped over {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}, and Jetten was behind with {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

The board was {4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and after counting down the chips, it's seems as if Peter Jetten is now crippled.

Howard Lederer now has 125,000 in chips or so.

Cajelais Can't Hold On

Level 9 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Eli Elezra raised it up, and Erik Cajelais moved all in. Elezra made the call and the cards were on their backs.

Erik Cajelais: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Eli Elezra: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Board: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Elezra's rivered straight was enough to bust Cajelais, and we're now down to three.

Jetten Continues to Rise

Level 8 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

Howard Lederer raised it up to 7,000 and Peter Jetten made the call. The flop came {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and Peter Jetten, in the small blind, bet 10,000 and Lederer folded.

Things are getting fast and furious with the blinds and ante's getting so big here.

The Professor Gets Busy

Level 8 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

Eli Elezra made it 5,000 to go preflop, and Erik Cajelais three-bet it to 14,000. Howard Lederer, thought for a bit and moved all-in for almost 19,300 more. Cajelais made the call, and showed a pair of eights. Lederer was ahead with pocket tens.

The board rolled out {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Spades}, and Howard Lederer has doubled through. Elezra mentioned that the flop hit him pretty hard -- alas he wasn't in the pot. You gotta be in it to win it.
