Mark Betts Eliminated in 4th Place ($34,000 AUD)

Michal Polchlopek opened the pot from the cutoff seat and Mark Betts made the call in the big blind. Betts then check-called a bet of 35,000 from Polchlopek on a {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} flop.

The {7-Diamonds} on the turn led Betts to again check and this time Polchlopek bet 90,000. This is when Betts raised, making it a total of 200,000. It only took a few moments for Polchlopek to decided what to do, shoving his stack all-in. Betts thought for some time before making the call.

Polchlopek turned over his {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and when the {8-Spades} came on the river, it changed nothing as Betts sent his cards into the muck. Once the chips were counted out, Betts was left with just 14,000. The next hand Betts was all in for less than a big blind and was eliminated in 4th place.

Eight Magnet

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

The eights keep coming for Sam Capra, as he's had the pocket pair twice more this level.

First up, he button raised and c-bet bet a {7-}{9-}{10-} flop. Ross Parkhill defended his big blind and was shown the pair after he check-folded on the flop.

A couple of orbits later Capra peeled from the big blind after Mark Betts raised from the small blind. They both checked the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board all the way down and Capra opened {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} to scoop.

What he needs more than eights are chips though. He's the shortest stack on 450,000.

Parkhill Beating Betts

Ross Parkhill is currently sitting behind a stack of almost half the chips in a play and most of those chips came courtesy of a big pot he just won off Mark Betts.

The action was folded to Betts in the small blind and he raised it to 49,000. Betts quickly called and the {k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop was dealt. Parkhill then bet 55,000 and Betts instantly called. The {j-Hearts} on the turn didn't slow Parkhill down, throwing out 130,000. Betts again called and this time the {8-Clubs} was dealt on the felt.

On the river, Parkhill continued his betting, firing out 275,000. It didn't take long for Betts to make the call. When Parkhill turned over his {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Betts sent his cards straight into the muck with Parkhill's turned straight more than enough to take down the giant pot.

Polchlopek Upping the Agression

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Michal Polchlopek is, by far, the most active player at the table. He's opened almost every pot he could since the return and defended strongly.

It hasn't all worked out for him, but he's trying to win it more than his three opponents. Mark Bett, for example, has made some great calls today but he is more of a trappy player rather than someone willing to push the action.

He's back up to 1,080,000 after calling two streets versus Polchlopek with the better the hand. He raised from the button and the Pole defended his big blind. Both checked the flop before Polchlopek led for bets on the turn and river. The final board read {3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and Polchlopek's {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} lost out to his opponent's {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Ahead All the Way

Michal Polchlopek had two stabs at getting Ross Parkhill off a hand, but he had hit by the time the second bullet was fired.

Polchlopek raised the button and bet the flop. Parkhill called both times before the two of them checked the turn. The final board read {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{j-Spades} and Polchlopek had another stab on the river with {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Parkhill had a fairly easy call with {a-Clubs}jh] and took the pot.
