Three-Way Fun

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

There was a bit of a commotion at the table right in front of the PokerNews Live Reporting desk, and when we rose to investigate the situation, we saw that there was a three-way all in in progress.

The money went in on a flop of {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Clubs}, and Jason Tompkins, who was at risk for 30,800, was ahead with {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Another player showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for an open-ended straight draw, and both players were covered by a third who had {a-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush draw.

The {10-Clubs} turned, giving Tompkins an unbeatable full house. The player with jacks could still survive with a brick on the river, but the {k-Spades} completed the board, sending him to the rail.

Tompkins, who is 20th on the Irish all-time money list, was shipped the massive pot, and now has over six figures.

To the Max

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Max Lehmanski and an opponent were heads up on a board of {4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The German tossed out a bet of 8,000, his opponent called, and Lehmanski showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a single pair of nines.

The player held onto his cards for an extra 10 seconds or so before sending them spiraling into the muck, and Lehamanski picked up the pot.

Shak Binks

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player limped from under the gun, Jarod Ludemann called on his direct left, Dan Shak tossed in a call from the hijack seat, and Dan Smith raised to 2,200 in the cutoff. The under-the-gun limper called, Ludemann folded, and Shak called.

The flop fell {9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades}, the player under the gun checked, and Shak announced, "all in."

"How much?" Smith asked immediately.

Shak pushed his chips forward, and the dealer broke them down to reveal that the commodities trader had open-shoved for 12,925. Smith mulled the decision over for a bit - it would've cost him the majority of his stack - and ultimately folded. The player under the gun quickly called, having Shak slightly covered.

Shak: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Shak was a dog on the flop, but the turn was the {8-Hearts}, giving him trip eights. The {3-Clubs} completed the board, and Shak, who reached the final table of this event last year, doubled back to a starting stack.

Ludemann With the KKO

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Jarod Ludemann tossed out a bet of 2,700 on a board of {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. An opponent moved all in for just under 11,000, and the American made the call.

Ludemann: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The {6-Clubs} bricked off on the river, and Ludemann picked up the pot.

Ivey Back To Starting Stack

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Nice face, Phil
Nice face, Phil

Action folded to nine-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Phil Ivey in the hijack seat. He tossed out a blue T1,000 chip and announced a raise to 500. Next to act, the player in the cutoff seat reraised to 1,600. The button and blinds folded, then Ivey made the call to see the flop.

The {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} fell, and Ivey checked the paired board. His opponent fired 1,200, and Ivey made the call to see the {5-Hearts} land on the turn. Ivey checked, and his opponent checked.

The river was the {10-Clubs} to complete the board, and Ivey fired a bet with one yellow T5,000 chip, announcing 4,000 as his wager. His opponent only took a few moments to fold, and Ivey scooped in the pot to get back to the starting stack of 30,000 in chips.
