Winston Doubles Early

Roy Winston got most of his stack into the middle pre-flop holding K-Q against David Bach who challenged with pocket fours. The flop came {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Bach started picking chips off of his stack to put Winston all in, but Roy beat him into the pot, tossing in his last 2,500 worth of chips.

The {K-Diamonds} fell on the turn giving Winston trip kings and the river blanked ({8-Diamonds}) to give Winston the pot, worth just under 30,000 in chips.

Table Talk

With just 10 players remaining in the tournament - one elimination away from the money - the tournament is being played hand-for-hand on two tables with five players on each.

Local favorite Sam Khouiss was overheard talking to his neighbor, Dag Martin Mikkelsen:

"Dag . . . Dag . . . You've got enough (chips). Just take it easy, OK?"
