Tadros Eliminates Binger

Unabinger
Unabinger
Ramy Tadros and Nick Binger were off to the races after getting all of their money in before the flop - Tadros with pocket eights and Binger with {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The board filled out {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{J-Spades} giving Tadros a pot-clinching full house, eliminating Binger from the tournament in 7th place ($3,880 AUD).

A-Q No Good to Lei and Lee

Lei He - 9th Place
Lei He - 9th Place
Within a span of five minutes, both Lei He and David Lee were eliminated from the tournament - both holding A-Q in their exits.

Lei He finished in 9th place, shoving with A-Q pre-flop and running into Andrew Demetriou's pocket kings.

David Lee took home 8th place money after his A-Q lost to Martin Cardno's Big Slick. All in pre-flop, Lee hit a queen on the flop, but Cardno spiked a king on the river to re-take the lead and the pot.

Lei and Lee earned $1,940 and $2,910 respectively for their efforts.

Play Slows to a Crawl

It might just be me, but it seems like the pace of play has gone from bullet-train fast to horse and buggy slow since the final table started. Players seem to be waiting patiently for one big hand to get it all in on.

In the meantime, the blinds have gone up to 800/1,600.

Final Table Play Begins

After a short break, the nine final table competitors have taken their seats and play has resumed. The blinds will start at 600/1,200 and the average chip stack is approximately 43,100.

Final Table Seat Assignments

Seat 1: Lei He - 18,400
Seat 2: Greg 'DuckU' Hobson - 110,900
Seat 3: Heng Zhang - 42,500
Seat 4: Andrew Demetriou - 26,800
Seat 5: Michael 'Timex' McDonald - 62,000
Seat 6: David Lee - 22,900
Seat 7: Ramy Tadros - 44,600
Seat 8: Nick Binger - 25,200
Seat 9: Martin Cardno - 34,700

Damien Oborne Eliminated on the Bubble

Damien Oborne
Damien Oborne
PokerNews writer and T6 sponsored pro Damien Oborne has just been eliminated from the tournament in tenth place - one spot away from the money.

Oborne open-shoved all in from under-the-gun holding pocket sevens and was called by Michael 'Timex' McDonald who woke up to pocket queens. The board blanked out and Oborne, always a good sport, wished his table good luck before exiting the tournament area.

Whoa.

In the time it took me to walk 30 meters to my laptop, type up the Joe Hachem elimination hand and return to the tournament area, we lost Kevin O'Donnell, Chris Aitchison, David Ostrom and Robert McKay.

With 10 players left we're reached the money bubble.

Hachem Eliminated by 'Timex'

Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem
Action folded around to Joe Hachem in the small blind who open-shoved all in holding {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and Mike 'Timex' McDonald made the call from the big blind with {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}. The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} giving McDonald two pair and the win.

Hachem's elimination leaves us with 14 runners.
