Dusan Stoevski Eliminated in 32nd Place ($30,000)

Dusan Stoevski - 32nd Place
Dusan Stoevski - 32nd Place
Stoevski put his remaining 88,000 in chips into the pot from UTG and was called reluctantly by the big blind of Holster.

Holster had the best hand with {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} as Stoevski had {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}.

The {Q-Clubs} came on the river but unfortunately for Stoevski it gave Holster the nut flush. Holster now has 740,000 in chips and accumulating nicely. Stoveski won $30,000 for 32nd place.

Shimamura Doubles Through Pescatori

Max Pescatori
Max Pescatori
Hiroshi Shimamura has just doubled through Max "The Italian Pirate" Pescatori, though it wasn't without a heap of drama.

The players got it all in pre-flop and Shimamura's {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} appeared well ahead of Pescatori's {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, until the flop delivered {2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Amazingly, Shimamura dodged all of Pescatori's outs as the board filled out {2-Hearts}, {3-Diamonds} and he doubled up to approximately 200,000 in chips.

Jelassi Doubles Up; Gets Penalty for Exposing Cards

Jelassi makes a mistake but still doubles up
Jelassi makes a mistake but still doubles up
An interesting hand devloped between Ramzi Jelassi and Michael Chrisanthopoulos. Here is what happened...

Michael Chrisanthopoulos raised to 26,000. Ramzi Jelassi had 190,000 stacked up and held a 5,000 chip in his hand as he pushed his stack into the pot in an "all in" motion. Except, he did not annouce "all in" and had 5,000 left. Michael Chrisanthopoulos just called. Jelassi forgot about the chip and thought he was all in so he exposed his cards... {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Michael Chrisanthopoulos bet 5,000 in the dark. The flop came down A-9-5. Jelassi tossed in his last 5,000. The river was a 6 and the river a 3. Michael Chrisanthopoulos mucked his hand and Jelassi doubled up. He increased his stack to almost 390,000.

After the hand, Jelassi was given a five hand penalty for exposing his hand. He had to sit out five hands over the next orbit.

Down to 34

It appears that the six-handed format is forcing a quicker pace. No less than five minutes into the new six-handed format, there were two rapid bustouts.

Black Doubles Through Seidel

Upstairs on the feature table, Andy Black moved all in for 87,000 and Erik Seidel made the call with pocket deuces; Black had J-9. Seidel held the lead in the hand all the way through the turn, but Black rivered the nut straight to stay alive, doubling through to about 180,000 in chips.
