With a full house on the final hand of the tournament, Ventnor, New Jersey native Abraham Korotki captured the 2014 Borgata Spring Poker Open Championship on Friday at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. Korotki defeated Laurence Wolf heads up, winning $256,508 and the trophy.

Korotki, who outlasted 414 entries, now has over $1 million in career live tournament earnings, and four victories at Borgata, including the 2009 Borgata Poker Open Ladies Event. According to him, only Will Failla (five) has more wins at Borgata than him.

"I'm very happy to win this tournament," Korotki said after the victory. "This is the world's best casino, because players from all over the world come to play."

Korotki plans to parlay his winning in the upcoming $15,000 buy-in World Poker Tour World Championship.

Wolf, who pocketed $148,083 for second place, nearly doubled his career live tournament earnings in the process. He too has had previous success at Borgata, winning a $500 buy-in event during the 2007 Borgata Winter Poker Open.

Despite started the final table last in chips with just over 11 big blinds, Robson Barbosa was able to climb the ladder and finish the event in third place. Barbosa won a race against Korotki on one of the first hands of the day, and never looked back from there, assuming the chip lead during five-handed play.

Chalie Hook entered the day with the largest stack at the final table, but hit a wall during the middle stages of play and ultimately fell in fourth place. He attempted a few unsuccessful bluffs, including one in a three-handed pot during Level 25 that left him with the shortest stack at the table.

Also reaching the final table but ultimately falling short were Frank Toscano, Andy Spears, Jewook Oh, Paul Spitzberg, and Jake Toole, who all fell from ninth to fifth respectively.

The 2014 Borgata Spring Poker Open rolls on throughout next weekend, and PokerNews will bring you continuous coverage of all of the main events, including the WPT World Championship!

Abraham Korotki raised to 105,000 on the button, both Robson Barbosa and Laurence Wolf called, and the flop came {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

"That's a great three-card poker hand," Wolf chuckled.

Barbosa checked, Wolf checked, and Korotki tossed out another 105,000. Only Barbosa called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, Barbosa check-called another 225,000, and the {a-Clubs} completed the board. Barbosa knuckled a third time, Korotki casually flung out six white T100,000 chips, and Barbosa immediately announced a call.

"I've got the nuts," Korotki said proudly, showing {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

Barbosa checked his cards one last time, the pushed them into the muck.

While we were writing the last post, Chalie Hook was eliminated in fourth place. Without an "all-in and a call" from the dealer we were unable to turn and catch the full details, but according to the dealer and Laurence Wolf, Wolf moved all in from the small blind with {k-}{5-} and Hook called with {q-}{j-}.

Hook failed to connect with the board - Wolf made kings and fives - and was eliminated in fourth place, earning $72,786.

The three remaining players are taking an unscheduled break.

Jake Toole Eliminated in 5th Place ($57,225)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Jake Toole - 5th Place
Jake Toole - 5th Place

Jake Toole raised to 75,000 out of the small blind, Laurence Wolf called in the big blind, and both players checked on a flop of {9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The turn was the {5-Hearts}, Toole led out for 50,000, and Wolf called.

The river was the {6-Hearts}, Toole checked, and Wolf bet 150,000. Toole tank called, lifting {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} off of the felt, but he then mucked when Wolf showed {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a straight.

The very next hand, Robson Barbosa raised to 75,000 in the cutoff, Toole moved all in for 235,000 on the button, and Chalie Hook cold-called in the big blind. Barbosa called as well.

The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}, Hook check-called a bet of 225,000, and the duo checked it down as the board completed {q-Spades}, {q-Clubs}.

"Ace-king," Toole announced.

Hook showed {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights, and Barbosa had him pipped with {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines.

Jewook Oh Eliminated in 7th Place ($38,150)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jewook Oh - 7th Place
Jewook Oh - 7th Place

Jewook Oh three-bet all in for around 550,000 over an under-the-gun raise from Jake Toole. The action folded to Toole, who called, and the cards were on their backs.

Oh: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Toole: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The flop was extremely interesting; {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}. Toole made a pair of aces, but Oh made a set of kings and remained in the lead.

The pendulum swung back to Toole when the {10-Diamonds} fell on the turn, giving him Broadway, and unfortunately for Oh the board did not pair on the river. After the meaningless {2-Diamonds} hit the felt, Oh shook some hands before exiting the tournament area.

Toole is up over two million chips.

Andy Spears open-shoved for around 300,000 in early position, and Chalie Hook looked him up in the big blind.

Spears: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Hook: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop produced all blanks, but the {a-Diamonds} on the turn gave Hook a leading pair of aces. The turn was not the jack Spears was looking for, and he was eliminated.
