Welcome to Day 3 of the 2016 Cash Game Festival Bulgaria

Cash Game Festival Bulgaria Feature Table

Welcome to PokerNews' live coverage of Day 2 of the 2016 Cash Game Festival Bulgaria at Platinum Casino located just off the boardwalk in Sunny Beach.

Day 1 kicked off welcome drinks along with a few no-limit hold'em tables ranging from €1/€2 to €2/€5. As the day moved along, a variety of pot-limit Omaha and Sviten Special tables were added to the mix with big evidence of players enjoying themselves with tons of laughter and high-fives heard around the room.

Yesterday, on Day 2, many players battled it out in a fun mini-golf competition on the beach followed by a VIP dinner. As the night picked up, the Platinum Casino poker room was buzzing with action with a wide variety of no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha games at different stakes.

As was the case during the past two days, the first televised feature table today will be €1/€2 at 5:30 p.m. (GMT +3) on a 20 minute delay before the table switches up to higher stakes at 8:30 p.m. What makes the feature table is unique is that not only it is for ring games, but many of the players will be taking part in a televised poker table for the first time.

Brandon Allen will once again be leading the commentary with many guests popping in and out. You will be able to check out the action here on PokerNews as well as on the Cash Game Festival website and on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel.

If you have been following the action the past two days, the Cash Game Festival is far from just being about poker, as many players socialize on and off the felts and become friends for life. Many players are currently enjoying activities outside the casino for just that reason including a yacht ride that began at noon.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be providing updates with some 2016 Cash Game Festival Bulgaria highlights of action on and off the felts throughout the five-day festival.

Tanned and Relaxed

A couple of dozen players just waltzed into the casino fresh back from the yacht trip. To say everyone had a smile on their faces would be an understatement as the look of euphoria was evident.

Most of the players on the yacht tour either went either back to their hotels to shower or to grab a quick lunch (or dinner?) before hopping into some poker action this evening.

We promise to share some photos from the yacht tour later on in our coverage.

The televised feature table kicks off in about 30 minutes and should go live here on PokerNews as well as on the Cash Game Festival website and on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel.

Feature Table Begins

The first televised no-limit hold'em feature table began with stakes at €1/€2. The later table at 9:00 p.m. is planned to feature some higher rollers with the action set for €5/€10.

Here is a look at the early feature table:

On seat 1 is Bulgaria's Emil Andreev who began playing poker four years ago. Despite never playing on a televised table, he shared he is not nervous.

In the next seat is Norway's Birger Strand. While many players appearing on the feature table the first two tables are doing so for the first time, Strand is a veteran as he was on the feature table at the Cash Game Festival in Tallinn and in London.

Another Bulgarian, Kostadin Kosadinov is over in seat 3. The 27-year old shared he enjoys playing both cash games and tournaments and that he loves playing online.

Fellow countrymate Simeon Tsoner has appeared on tons of feature tables and has won some big pots including one for €13,000 at €25/€50 tables. His strategy on the final table is to "have fun and make some money!"

Also from Bulgaria is Nikolay Teoharov in seat 5. The 30-year old is a driver by day and shared he is a huge poker fan. While he has never been on a televised table, he doesn't seem nervous at all sharing he plans "to play to mostly for fun!"

Sweden's Peter La Terra is in seat 6. Yesterday, he was playing late in the night, mostly at the Omaha tables. He joked that he is "Wery nervous (spelling intentional)!" Although it seems he plans to really just have fun also sharing that he plans to have fun and drink beers."

Bulgaria's Konstantiv Kapchin is a poker player by trade, but never appeared on a feature table. However, that won't stop him from doing his best as he shared that, "I'll play my standard game."

Local poker player Emil Petkov began playing poker while he was a student in Germany in 2001. He also has never appeared on a feature table, but his strategy is "to play as usual and not pay attention to the 'eights'."
