David Clarkson Wins Big on the Feature Table

The £2/£5 pot limit Omaha feature table is now in the books and United Kingdom's David Clarkson walked away as the big winner.

About 20 minutes before the end of the feature table, Clarkson and two others were involved in a three-bet pot before the flop worth £420.

Flop: {7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Two players checked before a player just known as Gareth opened for £300. One player folded before Clarkson thought for a minute before raising it up to £800. Gareth then tanked before he fired a bet that covered Clarkson's remaining stack of around £1,000.

Clarkson called with {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, to give him top pair, a flush draw and a straight draw before the duo decided to run it twice.

The first board ran out {2-Spades}{j-Hearts} for two pair and {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for a better two pair. His opponent mucked and Clarkson reaped in a pot worth over £4,000.

16 Tables in Action

Even though the Bayern Munich vs. Arsonal football match was tied at one after the first half, the game turned into a blowout after Bayern Munich scored four unanswered goals to win five to one.

After the match, players quickly went back to the poker room to hit the felts. There are now 16 tables full of ring game action including three pot limit tables.

Feature Table Bios

Here is a look at the players seated at the £2/£5 pot-limit Omaha televised feature table.

In Seat 1 is Finland's Mikko Hirvonen, who bought in for £1,000. He has been playing poker since 2004 and shared his favorite hand is jack-nine. He is not nervous despite this being his first appearance on a televised table.

Alexis Savvides, who lives in Cyrpus, is seated in Seat 2. He bought in for £600 and joked that his favorite Omaha hand is {7-}{2-}{2-}{2-}.

Latvia's Eduards Rakuss in Seat 3 bought in for £500. He was a bit more conventional when sharing his favorite Omaha hand is anything with two aces in it.

United Kingdom's Robert Lim in Seat 5 came onto the featured table as the short-stack after buying in for £250. He shared that his favorite Omaha hand is {A-}{A-}{K-}{Q-} double suited.

Turkey's Serkan Eser didn't start the featured table that much deeper than Lim after buying in for £300. He shared that he is a hairdresser by trade and plays poker for "funny and money."

United Kingdom's David Clarkson is a well-known online and live tournament and cash game player. He has attended both of the prior Cash Game Festival stops in London and entered today's feature table action with a big stack of £2,000.

Rounding the table out is a player that wished to be referred to as just Gareth. He describes himself as self-employed and has been playing poker since 2010.

You can watch the action commentated by the charismatic Brandon Allen on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel or here on PokerNews.
