2017 Cash Game Festival Slovenia
Day: 5

Photos From the VIP Party

Last night, players at the Cash Game Festival Slovenia rocked and rolled during the VIP party at Pulse Arena located in Perla Casino. The party ran until 2 a.m. CET. Many players chose to keep partying and went out on the town to a club. Many others headed back to the poker room to grind some more as there were four tables still running as the night became the morning.

Some players called it quits after the VIP party and decided to get some rest since the trip to the caves started at noon.

Jack Fenton's Top Three Things About Cash Game Festival Slovenia

Jack Fenton
Jack Fenton

Jack Fenton has gone to the last seven consecutive Cash Game Festivals since he first discovered it in March 2016 when the tour went international. Fenton had a good time in Slovenia, although he admitted he would have had a better time if things went better on the felts.

We asked him about his top three things he liked about this latest festival.

1) Sick Caves (Day 5 excursion)
2) Sviten Special (hard to find games outside of Cash Game Festival)
3) Zip lines over the canyon (Day 2 excursion)

It is interesting Fenton mentioned Sviten Special. With many new players trying the game during festivals for the first time, he no longer considers himself a fish and feels he is now using decent strategy.

During the Cash Game Festival Bulgaria, which took place at the end of last year's summer season, Fenton shared during an interview that, "Basically, I am a complete fish at Sviten Special. I was playing on the best Omaha hand instead of the best five-card draw hand. Both hands I just potted the action every time until I was all-in."

Since then, there have been four other Cash Game Festivals, and Fenton has been winning more than losing in Sviten Special.

Romania's Bogdan Haidu learned about the Cash Game Festival Slovenia after attending one day of the festival in London. While London was great, the atmosphere in Slovenia facilitated many of the players to get to know each other.

Haidu has an early flight in the morning and is saying his goodbyes. He shared what he likes the most about the Cash Game Festival is that just in a short period of time he feels that many of the players are just like family. This is something happens to many, and there is even a big private Facebook group for those that are part of the ever-growing CGF family.

Haidu shared that while he loves the poker, Slovenia was all about the people and the activities. He shared he couldn't believe he only met some of the people five days ago and can feel this close.

The Romanian poker player is a poker dealer in Luton, England and needs to work out his schedule for future festivals. He shared he really wants to go to the Cash Game Festival Tallinn on April 26-30. He then mentioned that if he misses that he said he would definitely go the stop afterwards taking place in Gibraltar in May.

Cash Game Festival Slovenia Was a Great Success

The 2017 Cash Game Festival Slovenia was a great success both on and off the poker tables. The star of the show on the felts was Italy's Federico Drassich who was the biggest winner on three different televised tables to set a new Cash Game Festival record. He also etched his name into the Cash Game Festival history books by being the biggest winner on two feature tables on the same day.

Many new players were in attendance at the festival. The common theme was they came for the poker, but want to come back to other festivals to be part of the family feel created by the regular players.

Many regulars from previous stops including Janar Kokk, Elora Kask, Jack Fenton, Daniel Näsman, Peter La Terra and SlotsMillions Ambassador Viktoria Lundberg were in attendance.

Every day during the festival there were activities which dozens of players attended. On Day 1 players enjoyed welcome drinks before hopping on the poker tables. On Day 2 players enjoyed action and adventure including zip lining over a canyon at Soca Fun Park. On Day 3, players were treated to a meal at On'Italy which Cash Game Festival Marketing and Content Creator Manager Inga Raudsepp claimed was "hidden a gem on a street where one would normally not expect to find good food."

Late on Day 4, players were dancing the night away at the VIP Party at Pulse Arena. Aspiring blogger and vlogger Maxime Roseau won the dance contest at the party. On Day 5, players took a bus trip to the caves located 60 kilometers away from the casino. The caves are known to be some of the biggest in the world and is one of the top three visited in the world by tourists.

The next Cash Game Festival will be at Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn from April 26 to 30. Players interested in attending Tallinn should head to the Cash Game Festival website for more information about the event including registering for the event and reserving their spots on the televised feature tables.
