Perla Casino regular Federico Drassich was easily the hero of Day 2 of the Cash Game Festival Slovenia. He won around €2,700 on the second feature table (€5/€5 no-limit hold'em), mostly thanks to one hand where he jammed all in with a full-house holding king-nine from Adrien Raiseanu who had two-pair with pocket queens in the hole. This pot was around €4,200 by itself, easily the biggest on the feature tables of the festival thus far.

The day began with many players enjoying fun and excitement at Soca Fun Park. As the afternoon turned into the evening, players began migrating to the poker room to enjoy some poker action.

Tomorrow is expected to be the biggest day thus far in the festival with the weekend approaching. Those with the hospitality package will not only have plenty of cash game poker options to choose from but also be treated to a VIP dinner in the early evening.

As will be the case every day during the festival, live streaming for tomorrow is scheduled at lower stakes at 5:40 p.m. CET and at higher stakes at 8:40 p.m. CET on a 20-minute delay. Brandon Allen will provide the lead commentary with guests popping in and out throughout the two broadcasts.

Stay tuned at PokerNews for the next three days as we report some of the hottest action at the Cash Game Festival Slovenia.

Scandinavian Hunks Ready for Action!

While the feature table just ended, the action is far from over this evening with many tables likely to run through the night into the morning.

Last night, a group of men from Finland called the Scandinavian Hunks were entertaining women at Perla Casino all night long. Tonight, the "Hunks" are looking for a different type of action and came upstairs to the poker room to play some no-limit hold'em.

Federico Drassich Strikes Again

Just 20 minutes after winning a huge pot, Federico Drassich striked again on the feature table.

With the pot already at €1,400, Drassich with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} jammed for €3,400 on the {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} which more than covered the €1,900 stack of his opponent, Romania's George Ghica, who held {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

Ghica made the correct fold and Drassich shipped another four-digit pot.

The biggest hand of the Cash Game Festival Slovenia just took place on the televised €5/€5 no-limit hold'em feature table.

Romania's Adrien Raiceanu straddled from under the gun before Italy's Federico Drassich opened with {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for €35. Raiceanu holding {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} three-bet to €150 when the action folded to him. Drassich four-bet to €415 and Raiseanu called.

Both players checked after the flop came {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Raiseanu check-called a bet of €375 from Drassich after the {k-Spades} appeared on the turn.

The {9-Clubs} came on the river to give Drassich a full house. He jammed in for around €1,400 which effectively put Raiseanu all in who had around €1,300 behind. Raiseanu called and got up to go the cashier after the dealer shipped a huge pot of €4,200 to Drassich.

Janar Kokk and Elora Kask In The House

Janar Kokk
Janar Kokk

Janar Kokk and his wife Elora Kask just drove with a friend Stefan for 23 hours to Slovenia for shenanigans and poker at the Cash Game Festival. The couple waltzed into the poker room and received loud cheers from their friends before heading off to a much-deserved dinner and drinks.

If you have been following the Cash Game Festival, Janar Kokk's name is likely a familiar one as fun follows him around. Kokk is known for not only not shying away from prop bets, but initiating many himself. However, it was during the 2016 Cash Game Festival Bulgaria in August that forced Kokk and Kask to move to Italy for at least half of the year.

On the final day of CGF Bulgaria, Cash Game Festival co-founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk and Kokk signed a contract to play in an epic heads-up match. While playing heads-up poker doesn't usually require any ink, this was a "go big or go to a new home" best of three match where the winner not only collects the money he won, but also was able to choose a country for the loser to live for at least half of an entire year. There were a few other stipulations, including players writing up throughout the match a "do not send" list and the possibility to buyout by living in a village of the winner's choice for a month or by the loser paying €5 a day to the winner as a separate bank transfer each day for a year.

In the wee hours of the morning, Von Zweigbergk pulled out the win and "had mercy" on Kokk and Kask by choosing to send them Italy, which von Zweigbergk felt they would enjoy. The couple was very excited since they were thinking of moving there anyway.

€5/€5 No Limit Hold'em Feature Table Begins

The €5/€5 feature table has just begun. You can check out the action here on PokerNews as well as on the Cash Game Festival website and on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel.

Here is a look at some of the players.

Romania's George Ghica in Seat 1 shared that his best poker achievement is that he is still playing. His favorite hand is queen-nine.

A player that wished to be just referred to as Roro from Italy is in Seat 3 with Romanian player that wished to be referred to as Adrian in Seat 4.

Italian ex-football player Rinaldo Frezza is in Seat 5. He shared he is not nervous despite this being his first time playing televised poker.

Rounding out the table are two local Slovenian players. A player that wished to be referred to as just Goran is in Seat 6 and Ales Ostanek is right next to him in Seat 7.
