Nicholas Palma - 6th Place

Hand #74:

Nicholas Palma open-jammed for 640,000 from the cutoff seat, Andrew Sherman-Ash called on his direct left, and Patrick Chan re-shoved for 1.315 from the small blind. A call from Sherman-Ash put both players at risk.

Palma: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Sherman-Ash {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Chan: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The flop fell {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, giving Sherman-Ash a leading pair of sevens. His friends jumped in the crowd with excitement.

The turn and river came {8-Clubs}, {9-Clubs} respectively, and just like that both Palma and Chan were eliminated.

Hand #105: Perlov Doubles

Artyem Perlov doubles
Artyem Perlov doubles

Artyem Perlov open-shoved his last 845,000 from the button, Andrew Sherman-Ash called in the small blind, and the big blind folded.

Perlov: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Sherman-Ash: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Sherman-Ash was ahead before the flop fell, and the {5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} only made his hand stronger. The {a-Clubs} on the turn gave Perlov straight outs however, and low and behold the {q-Hearts} spiked on the river to give Perlov Broadway.

Sherman-Ash's friends groaned at the sight of the queen, while Perlov's supporters clapped their hands.

Perlov doubled to over 1.7 million ships, while Sherman-Ash still have over four million.

Andrew Bitker
Andrew Bitker

David Stefanski opened to 120,000 from first position, Adam Bitker defended his big blind, and the flop fell {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Bitker checked, Stefanski fired 95,000, and Bitker check-raised to 255,000.

Stefanski leaned over to examine Bitker's stack, then called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts}, Bitker led out for 360,000, and Stefanski tank-called.

The {9-Diamonds} completed the board, and Bitker tossed out 635,000. Stefanski immediately called.

Bitker tabled {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a rivered straight, Stefanski mucked, and Bitker picked up the massive pot.

Hand #125:

Adam Bitker jammed from the small blind for effectively 795,000, and David Stefanski called, putting himself at risk.

Bitker: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Stefanski: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The flop fell {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, giving Bitker a pair of aces and the nut flush draw.

Stefanski needed a non-diamond jack or running two pair to survive, but neither the turn ({8-Spades}) nor the river ({7-Hearts}) helped.

He is eliminated in 4th place, and due to the chop, will earn $70,000.

Artyem Perlov hits a gutterball
Artyem Perlov hits a gutterball

Adam Bitker raised to 180,000 out of the small blind, and Artyem Perlov three-bet to 335,000 from the big blind. Bitker tanked for the better part of a minute, then four-bet to 575,000.

Perlov shot back in his chair, and reached for pink T25,000 chips. He counted how many chips were in his stack, stop riffling what was in his hand, then committed enough chips to make the call.

The flop fell {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Spades}, and Bitker led for 385,000. Perlov tanked for 90 seconds or so, then called.

The {10-Hearts} turned, Bitker moved all in for effectively 960,000, and Perlov snapped it off.

Bitker: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Perlov: {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The river was the {a-Spades}, and Perlov's king-high straight improved to Broadway. He doubled to 3.87 million chips, while Bitker slipped to 1.275 million.

Adam Bitker doubles again
Adam Bitker doubles again

Andrew Sherman-Ash raised to 165,000 out of the small blind, Adam Bitker three-bet jammed for 2.01 million, and Sherman-Ash tank-called.

Bitker: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Sherman-Ash: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

There was over four million in the middle as the flop fell {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, giving Bitker a flush draw and Sherman-Ash a straight draw. The crowd chanted for various cards, some for diamonds, others for kings or queens, and the turn produced the {7-Diamonds}.

Bitker made his flush, but a higher diamond would chop the pot. The river wasn't red however, as the {10-Clubs} completed the board.

Bitker doubled again, and suddenly has the chip lead.
