Hand #105: Perlov Doubles

Artyem Perlov doubles
Artyem Perlov doubles

Artyem Perlov open-shoved his last 845,000 from the button, Andrew Sherman-Ash called in the small blind, and the big blind folded.

Perlov: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Sherman-Ash: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Sherman-Ash was ahead before the flop fell, and the {5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} only made his hand stronger. The {a-Clubs} on the turn gave Perlov straight outs however, and low and behold the {q-Hearts} spiked on the river to give Perlov Broadway.

Sherman-Ash's friends groaned at the sight of the queen, while Perlov's supporters clapped their hands.

Perlov doubled to over 1.7 million ships, while Sherman-Ash still have over four million.

Hand #109: Sherman-Ash Extends Lead

Artyem Perlov opened to 125,000 on the button, Andrew Sherman-Ash called in the small blind, then checked when the flop fell {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Perlov fired 175,000, and Sherman-Ash called.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, Sherman-Ash checked again, Perlov tossed out 280,000, and Sherman-Ash called.

The {k-Diamonds} completed the board, and both players checked. Sherman-Ash tabled {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for kings and nines, which bested Perlov's {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for nines and deuces.
