Jason Mercier opened with a raise from the cutoff seat to 40,000. Hasan Habib from the small blind and Erik Seidel from the big blind called.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} and the two blinds checked to Mercier. The youngest player at this final table fired 47,000 as his continuation bet and Habib check-raised to 100,000 even. Seidel folded and Mercier took his time before making the call.

The {J-Spades} paired the board on the turn and also completed a possible spade draw that was present on the flop. Both players opted to check and see the {8-Hearts} river for free. Habib fired 160,000 after the final card and Mercier mucked.

Not much has been going Mercier's way at this final table as he loses another one here. He's still over a million in chips, but hasn't been able to get much rather than what he came here with.

Mercier Opens Third in a Row

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

For the third hand in a row, Jason Mercier raised to 40,000. Erik Seidel was the first player to make the call this time and Gavin Smith also called from the big blind. Mercier had opened from under the gun and Seidel was on the button.

The {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop prompted no betting from Smith or Mercier as they checked to Seidel. He bet 65,000 and both his opponents folded.
