Cantu Doubles

Level 4 : 300/600, 100 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Brandon Cantu bet 2,800 on a {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop first to act. His opponent called and the turn was the {10-Hearts}. This time Cantu checked and his opponent bet 15,000. With just a few chips over that bet, Cantu moved all in and was called.

Cantu was ahead with {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} but had to dodge the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs} straight draw of his opponent. The {6-Spades} river kept it clean and Cantu found a much needed double up.

Le Doubles Through Trickett

Level 4 : 300/600, 100 ante

On a {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} board with 13,000 already in the pot, Sam Trickett led with a bet of 8,200. After a few minutes of thought, Nam Le moved all in for 45,500. Trickett double checked his cards and made the call.

Trickett: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Le: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}

The river {k-Hearts} was not one of Trickett's outs and he is left with 83,000.

Hawrilenko Knocks Out Meuller

Greg Meuller got the rest of his chips in on a {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{k-Spades} flop. He held the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} but was up against the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} of Matt Hawrilenko and needed help to stay alive. The {j-Clubs} turn and {7-Hearts} river were not what he was looking for and he will have to wait until the next event to make his mark.

Hawrilenko, on the other hand, is in good shape with 118,000 chips.
