Andy Black Back in the Game

Andy Black
Andy Black
Andy Black has had a couple of gifts to get back up to 80,000. First he pushed from the big blind over an UTG raise, and found his pocket nines in better shape than he thought when he was called by J-9.

Double-up number two came when he found pocket aces and a willing player with A-Q. No bad beats and he is much happier going into the break.

39 Players Remaining

There are just 39 players remaining with 15 minutes to play in level 14 and the average chip stack is 92,051. Things are moving at a relatively slow pace and could stay that way for awhile as we’re just seven eliminations away from the money.

Andy Black in Bother

Andy Black has had a tough level. First his aces were cracked by pocket eights in an all in pre-flop encouter for 50,000. The eights made a flush on the river. He just lost a decent sized pot against Christoffer Sonesson. With the board reading {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, Andy bet out 7,500 and Christoffer raised to 15,000. There were 30,000 chips in the pot already by this time and Andy insta-called only to insta-muck when Christoffer tabled {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

Andy Black is down to 15,000 now, while Christoffer has 220,000.

Jean Claude Perrot 0, Poker Table 1

Jean Claude Perrot's Battle Scars
Jean Claude Perrot's Battle Scars
Our friend and apparent gang banger Jean Claude Perrot had his hand wrapped in gauze during the dinner break, following his assault on an innocent Casinos Poland poker table after he won a big pot against Risto Ailamo.

According to a source who was with Perrot in Barcelona for a recent EPT event, a similar incident took place there in which Perrot struck the table with the same hand after Gus Hansen bluffed him out of a pot, resulting in a broken right hand.

God only knows how Perrot will react when he loses a pot, but thankfully he seems to be on quite the heater. In just over an hour, he’s chipped up from 100,000 to well over 200,000 in chips and shows no sign of slowing down.

Jean Claude Perrot Takes One Down

Jean Claude Perrot raised it up to 6,000 from UTG. Ricardo Sousa re-raised to 16,000 from the big blind and Jean Claude announced: "I Play."

The flop was dealt out {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Ricardo bet 23,000. Again, Jean Claude said, "I Play," and put out a call. The turn was dealt the {K-Clubs} and Ricardo checked while Jean Claude bet 20,000 into the 90,000 chip pot. Ricardo pondered for a long time before he decided to fold.

Thierry Misses

Thierry van den Berg
Thierry van den Berg
Thierry van den Berg, on the big blind, called a 6,500 pre-flop raise from Fredrik Haugen and they saw {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} put up in the middle. Thierry bet out 6,500 which was immediately called by Fredrik. The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and this time Thierry bet 11,500 which was quickly called. The river was the {5-Hearts} and both players checked. Fredrik showed the {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs} for the win. Thierry said he nearly went all in and how he rued not doing it as Fredrik could not call.
